You got that right. This show literally gets better and better all the way through. Season 2 is a whole other level from Season 1. Season 3 is the next level from there. Season 4 is one of the best seasons in tv history. Season 5 IS the best season in TV history including the #1 episode of ANY show in the history of Broadcast tv.

Walt's "F you" line to Gretchen was one of those lines that made me just nervously chuckle because of how intense the emotion was. It was already unfamiliar territory to see Bryan Cranston in a dramatic role, but to see such fierce anger in his eyes (and the cursing lol) made it almost overwhelming on first watch. Just fantastic acting from both of these actors sheeeeesh.

What you said about Bryan Cranston and the unfamiliar territory is why it took me until last summer to watch this show. I couldn't get past seeing him as Malcolm's dad. But when I finally gave it a chance, he drew me in as Walt from the get-go, and I was instantly obsessed.

Colors have a meaning in this show, the color choices are very intentional - I don't wanna spoil anything in the show but for example the use of purple around Marie (and Hank) represents a specific emotion / personality trait ! If you think really hard about Marie's personality and when purple is used, you might figure it out :) you should look into this once you finish the show, it was very fun when I did it :)

This is something that is forgotten to time but both The Walking Dead and Breaking Bad were produced by AMC. Both show made this network what it is today. Because this was on TV they had many restrictions with certain things, including cursing. To put it simple: they could only drop the F bomb ONCE per season. Everytime that F is said in the show is a BIG deal

Dated a meth head just recently. She had a four year old daughter. I witnessed her smoke a rock in the kitchen around the corner from me and her daughter, who I was apparently distracting. The smoke was still in the air when the daughter ran over to give her mom a hug. This daughter also spent a lot of time at a family friend's house, where a bong of meth is always sitting on the coffee table, exactly in her reach. They passed it around like it was a joint, like smoking meth was as normal and casual as cigarettes or a beer after work. I filed multiple reports with people who would get the information to CPS, and they even came to investigate twice, when she happened to be clean, and she managed to turn my very honest and detailed description of the abuse and neglect I witnessed into the vengeful, frantic ramblings of a jaded ex. She told me I came after her _foundation_ by trying to get that sweet little girl out of that house and away from the drugs and physical violence she saw her 6' 4" father repeatedly inflict upon her 90 lb, anorexic, meth, heroin, and fentanyl addict mother. Her foundation. The girl she smoked meth and heroin around. The girl she said she wanted to put to sleep so she wouldn't have to grow up in this fucked up world. The girl she refused to get sober for. The girl she passed off to loved ones whenever she could or had to when placed in the psych ward until she was a healthy weight and over the violent withdrawal symptoms. Saving that girl from all of that was going after her F O U N D A T I O N. I completely understand your point. Why contribute to the suffering of innocent children with parents who seem to care more about their next high than them. But it's because smoking meth isn't the only way you can be addicted to it. Walt _needs_ the high he gets being the best at something, and doing it as a meth chef only adds to the danger and thrill of it all. And Jesse _needs_ the validation that he's good at ANYTHING, a trauma that led him to smoking and eventually cooking meth to begin with. They're as addicted to the power as those junkies are the drug their power creates.
