When I drove tarped loads here in Canada, I used a Cordless Leaf Blower to clean off and dry off tarps as much as I could before folding them especially in the winter time to avoid them from freezing up with ice.

Robert I agree they need more trucking centers like that for drivers. Since truckers keep this world revolving and keeping everything open and running

There would be more truck stops if they were profitable. If truckers would spend money at the truck stops, other than fuel, there would be more of them. There are no shortages of businesses that are profitable.

There’s lots of truck stops. So they have to be profitable. Not profitable to give stuff away but they could do better

The issue with an ice storm isn't so much slippery roads (they are treated), it's that tree branches ice up and fall on power lines etc. Power lines ice up, get too heavy and fall... untreated roads are an issue too, but the other hazards can be worse.
@1stlast29011 ай бұрын
I live north of there a little. The main roads that were salted were meh but the county roads were sheer ice. No go on them.

Just curious about the water dripping inside the cab. You guys started at Walmart and it was raining and looked like most of the day and no mention of water dripping. Also looks like the temperature was not really cold so what do you think? Really nice of you letting the other trucks unload first as you had time. Yes karma will head your way.

Yeah I’ve ran into that same thing with my factoring company. Factored countless truck loads and then all of the sudden one day they just said, nope we aren’t factoring these loads. To risky for them apparently. Which I also don’t get, because if they don’t get paid, they just recourse and I end up paying anyway. lol Usually they don’t charge their fee for direct billing.
@AB-mg5sx11 ай бұрын
Yea that’s what I’m confused about, why does it matter about the commodity? they are just financing the rate con amount. Then again I did my research when I looked for a factoring company and RTS was a no go when I read their contract

Hey, I believe the issue with your "herky-jerky" backing can be corrected via computer. I think that a function called, "creep mode", has to be activated through a computer hook-up. Maybe your computer diagnostic device can do it, but you may wanna contact a dealership and ask them about it. I know that it works because I was in a T680 that had the same problem of not wanting to steadily "creep" when backing and would suddenly just drastically "lunge" backwards. We asked a dealership about it, and they said they could correct that issue...and they did. Just explain what is going on (they may not call it "creep mode"). Hope that helps. Doesn't hurt to ask anyhow. Love the vlog~!!! Stay safe out there.

How it going lita n Robert You want to leave your trailer the way it is and you keep your Tarps , These guys with these Curtain tarp trailers they can not haul what you can haul and what you can do on your open face trailer , They are limited , I hate factoring companies Not to tell you what to do but some advice , You need to get away from them people , and you need to start finding decent brokers and you haul for them and you keep calling them back and you keep letting them know where you are going to go as soon as you get loaded and tell them I need a load once they start understanding that you are going to pull their freight You should not have a problem , If you can do it break away from them slow, I use factoring companies for about 6 months years ago , No more for me , You need to carry some rope with you and the back end of your trailer you should have cross tied it be safe out there take care yourselves
