For all the people here who Don't know what SANABE is it's not just the spiritcal successor to Katana zero, it's it brother. I've never played a video game that hit me right in the gut the same way Katana zero does, but SANABE does. Also fantastic edit.

When I played sanabi I had a realization about how old KATANA zero is When katana ZERO was released, the game (which according to just strander, unintentionally) which you could argue its a successor to, hotline miami 2, was just over 4 years old. When SANABI was released, the game, which you could argue its a successor to, katana zero, was 4 and a HALF years old. Idk, its crazy to me how old it is now.

Some moths ago I found this edit and thought "wow, this game seems cool" right after that I put sanabi on my wishlist. Downloaded the game some days ago and finished today. I never thought I'd cry over a game, but this one, this game is special. Sanabi is a hiddem gem and you should play it too.

Honestly I like that Sanabi has a happy ending. Katana Zero ends sort of without any aftermath. Like Zero just escapes from the police and runs away while.

Zero is an ultrakiller that has been made for war and all his fate was been putted in chronos, and he rejected to complete last mision just because he didn't want to see another family die cuz of him (cuz of flashbacks of kid that he spared). And we know that Zero wanted to live when he was been in chinatown. He decided to stay alive, giving his peaceful soul (rn im talking about little girl who was the interpretation of the peaceful soul of Zero) and character to be torn to pieces. But the SANABI main character is kinda different, cuz of the fact that he is not a war weapon for 1 war. He is vetiran. He left from his army squad just to have happy family life with his wife and daughter. But when he died, MAGO scientists make him think that his daughter has been killed by bomb, he first wanted to make his revenge by killing the imagined company SANABI. And in the end when all his true memories came back he get what he wanted, to apologize to his daughter. So I can say that SANABI main character doesn’t want to gain freedom from the chains of a certain drug that, if completely finished, will make you suffer. Of course Zero also wanted to have peacful life as SANABI main character. But by the end, their goals had changed greatly. Zero want to bring back his peacful soul that he gave just to live more, and Veteran ("SANABI main character" i decided to name him like that) just wanted to see his daughter again and apologize to her for his deeds (he dont want to find his wife cuz of deleted memories that his daughter did) (also her daughters name is Mari) and when he apologized to her he decided to try to save everything and as we saw in titles he is not with Mari, so he finally died. I KNOW that Katana zero is not compleated in story, cuz of teasers of new "dlc" that can actually have continuation of Zero's story. But there are some new 2 Gamma dudes, so I think that game will start to focus on new characters and their stories. But in everything Im agree. 2 guys that tries to get back their memories. And also they are both veterans.

Guys, I played Sanabe and I can say that the game is only bad compared to Katana Zero because you can't choose the character's lines, it even seems like you can't intervene in the character's actions.

Okay, spoilers. I just finished Sanabi and god, it's been a long time since I got sentimental while playing; seeing the general's "redemption" towards his own death and taking the blame off of Mari surprised me quite a bit, I didn't think he would get so sentimental. The ending of Sanabi gives me some hope for Zero, I want that tender war criminal to have his redemption, even if he dies in the process, at least for him to have peace and not for the jungle to swallow him up. . . . Also, halfway through the game I jokingly thought "Sanabi are the friends we made along the way", I didn't think I would get it right.
