Great video, I LOL! I loved Dakotas face when you said "Charity improved with age", so cute. Might I add that your kids are so adorable, really sweet, and I love the connection you all have. When I read your title, I thought your Jeep got stolen or died. Glad it did not. But my towed vehicle is an Xterra, and at the stop before Savannah mine had a mishap and the engine was destroyed as a result of a towing mistake. Talk about rough times. I was able to get it down to Daytona were I was booked for a few weeks (suggestion, try Sunshine Holiday Daytona campground, an Encore resort) , and was able to find a replacement engine and a trustworthy shop. But it was definitely rough times.

I love Buc-ees. We live near Daytona and have been there several times. We love the brisket. The first time I walked in there, I was amazed that the store was so big and that they have grocery carts. I was also impressed with the size of their restrooms. It seems like no matter what time of the day we are there, Buc-ees is always busy.

We have been to that Bucee's many times and as it has become more popular, it has become an absolute ZOO. I am surprised you were able to find a parking space. Many people will park at the gas pumps, go inside to shop and then return to their vehicles and sometimes not even buy gas; and of course this adds to the congestion. They need some sort of pump monitor personnel stationed outside to discourage this kind of behavior. We go there because of the low gas price (they are located near a Sam's Club and compete on price) but with the congestion, it really does not seem to be worth the hassle.

Omg Buck-ees!!!! Haha we just discovered them going across the country to Florida on our way to Disney World. How funny. We stopped at about 3 of them. They have the best sandwiches and breakfast sandwiches there. We went a lot of money each time. One thing I didn't like, was people get gas and then just leave their car there. We got blocked in cause we were waiting for someone to finish in front of us, then the guy finished, and left his car there. What an ass. He knew we were waiting in our huge 40 ft Rv to get gas, and looked at us as he walked away. We had to wait till he came back and move. His wife was yelling at him because he.left his car and we were still there.

We camped at Skidaway Island SP 2 nights and left on St. Patrick's Day, maybe we saw your RV and didn't even realize it. We went to the city and parked our 26ft Class C at the visitor center RV parking and took a Trolley Tour which was great but looking at your video I think your photo opportunities walking are better. Savannah was so crowded with traffic and people then we've seen on other visits. It's a beautiful SP but the layout of the campground is confusing even with their map. I HAVE A BETTER SOLUTION FOR AN RV SITE IN SAVANNAH. And for lots of other places: join both the Elks & the Moose. They have lodges in many cities, and "some" have spaces that a member with an RV can use overnight(s) for a donation or a small fee. The Elks have such a lodge very close into downtown Savannah. YES. Get an electric only RV site for a donation within 20 minutes of downtown Savannah. My wife and I stayed there 2 nights on a recent trip. And yes, we were also amazed at so few campsites that were available elsewhere in the area. BTW, by joining both the Elks & Moose, you will be helping them do good in their communities. Enjoy.

Elks, I’d like that, how does that happen?

@@josephcaprara898 Some lodges actually have small campgrounds. The Elks lodge at Zephyrhills FL some has full hookups, some partial hookups, and boondock sites. You have to call and ask. But $20/25 per night is appreciated.

@Grateful Glamper The lodge in Savannah is really close to town. 2 or 3 electric only spots. Once you are a member, you can take your kids in, too. Always call ahead. Some lodges are more active than others. Not all answer their phones right away, but when you really need them, and they have a site, the rewards are worth it.

My husband and I visited Mrs. Wilkes in 2010. We had quite the experience while we were there. The line waits outside, but then they bring about a half a dozen people at a time inside when your table is going to be ready within a few minutes. While we were waiting inside, I noticed that an elderly man to my left started choking. I immediately pointed it out to my husband, who knows CPR better than I do, and he sprung into action. When the Heimlich didn’t work, he laid the man on the ground and began CPR, while I went outside to let everyone know that there was going to be a delay and that I would bring more information as soon as possible. Everyone stopped serving and eating to see what happened. Little prayer circles popped up all around the dining room and kitchen. The ambulance arrived quickly and took over for my husband, but the man, Mike, didn’t regain consciousness before the ambulance took him away. We were very concerned because the ambulance didn’t speed away with lights and sirens as we expected. It just rolled away slowly and did the speed limit with no fanfare. We have always wondered how the rest of the day went for Mike, but I’m sad to say that we weren’t too optimistic.
