Thought I'd just leave this to be lost in the comments and obscurity. This track is one of my favorite things humans have ever created. It gives voice to the beauty, tranquility, and overwhelming pain that accompanies the call of the void. The act of deciding to take that plunge, and all that implies, is given the proper weight and treatment with the tortured vocals backed by serene yet intense instruments that build to a literally heart stopping climax. This is the artistry and sheer, raw experience that so many people miss purely because they don't know it's out there for them. Thank you to the guys who made this and will never read this. Thank you. I heard you for a time, I genuinely heard you.

Hey, thanks for this really honest and emotional comment. The music stirs something in people and we really love it when our fans connect and let us know. We try and read most of the comments because a lot of you say some really nice stuff to and about us, so, thank you. And thanks for actually hearing what we put into that track. You nailed it.

I cried. Yes, you've read it: I cried. It's hard to admit it but I cried and wept so much, totally messed up by this song. I wasn't even conscious. I was in a trance, headbanging, just lost all control, pierced by his screaming voice. His perfect voice. He took my heart, my soul, and threw it away. They've just done an amazing song, with so much emotion that I cannot contain them. That's why I want to learn to play music, I want to give emotions like they did for me. That's a song like that which makes you fell human, you just abandon control, and let your mind drive you in an adventure. This song that begin slowly, and totally put the listener in their world, next to them, and then the music rise up, the beat intensifies, puts you in trance as you follow it, then it drops and you hear this unexpected scream. Not a bad scream, a good one, this scream literally made me breathing difficulty, like I was screaming too, my lungs in fire, and my heart in an unstoppable run, I was able to feel the voice, it's so hard to find the words. And then all became unstoppable, all the music was accelerating, in a big climax, my heart wasn't the one I knew,my mind neither. And this final drop, it was wonderful. The music still playing in my mind, but my ears were only hearing silence. I stayed 2 minutes like that, then I started to calm down, find a normal breath, and thinking about what did I lived. Thank you so much We Lost The Sea for this present.

A plunge A dive I gamble fate Abandon Control obey gravity From here Earth's claw cannot over bare I hear nothing dead silence I grasp as comfort I pilot limbs as if they were wings Carve through the clouds Plummet to the below I pilot limbs I gamble fate I gamble fate unknowing of what it will bring to me

I've listened to Departure songs for god knows how many times since it came out. I've held off going through the old catalogue of WLTS, i don't know why I just have, but man this is just as beautiful and emotive as Departure songs. I had known about Chris before but listening to this now has me in tears. Man. Thank you for your music.

@northland78853 жыл бұрын
Screamo? Rather the band played post-metal, doom and sludge metal back then. Not all songs that have this kind of vocals are whiny emo Screamo. Can be confusing for some people but yeah. I don't hear any screamo in this.
