Thank You so much for this wonderful nostalgic ride ! But please, let the front camera be the main camera.

Thanks Heinz! We used to film with a single cam. People complained that they could not see the engine with the cam mounted at the front. So we put it at the driver’s window, but then people complained that half of the view was blocked by the engine. So we used multiple cams, and now people complain about the edit being restless. So, we decided to edit multiple versions. These versions will all be posted here. Search within this channel for ‘SSN’.

@@CabviewHolland Thank You for answer ! I know, to do it for all people right is a thing of impossibility😄but I ment that the frontcam should be the main, not the only. For example from the left side of the engine we cannot see signals and other important things. But this is of course only my mind🙂 But still a wonderful exciting video, I love it ! Thank You for it😍

I grew up with steam trains back in GDRs 60s. I remember the net for the lugage wich became a bed for us kids. That was practical when we were tired just lifted up in to the net. And i also remember whenever a tunnel came hurry to the window and closing it. I remember the smell of the steam and the nice sound.

I only _just_ got into the steam trains in the Netherlands scene, but I immediately recognised Beekbergen station from above from when I stayed in a cabin nearby for a few weeks. 😀

For me, the nostalgia goes way back to last year (that would be sometime in 2022). It's kinda like déjà vu, 'cause many of the people along the rail trip look familiar, even the same, to me. Well, of course, almost a full year older. But, they are also wearing the same clothes in this video as in the first time I saw 'em. I am seriously researching 'already seen'. That seems to be a common trait. Well, I don't wanna give away all my findings... so, I'll just add... Gracias por tu video, Señor Cabview. RT sends, envía, Colonia Centro Histórico, Puebla, México. You may have already seen and read this comment B4... Déjà vu et lu.

🤗🥰😋 Nostalgia for the 50s for a moment of pure happiness 🍀 full steam ahead to start 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣3️⃣ on the right track with the class of 23. The Class 23 produced in 105 units is a standard Einheitsdampflokomotiven design locomotive that was built after World War II, but its development on behalf of the Deutsche Reichsbahn Gesellschaft predates 1939. The first series The 23 001 to 23 015 built by Henschel and Sohn between 1951 and 1952 were used by the Deutsche Bundesbahn, from 1951 in the heavy passenger service, (Personenzuglokomotive in German). The locomotives of this series of the DB remained in service until the end of December 1975. The last machine, the 23 105 built in 1959, withdrawn in 1976 is the last locomotive in West Germany Today is in the city of Heilbronn South German Railway Museum . The 23 series steam locomotive belongs to the UIC type with an arrangement of wheels (2-6-2) and axles (1′C1′ h2) it has 1 carrier axle independent of the main frame, three independent coupled driving axles of the chassis main frame running in a bogie and 1 trailing axle mounted in the main frame. The steam type is superheated steam and the locomotive has 2 cylinders with a Tender T28 Engines up to operating number 023 (like here in the video), had surface preheaters and plain bearings. The locomotives with serial numbers 024 and 025, as well as those of 053, were equipped with roller bearings for the axles and the transmission as well as preheating mixers and also an enclosed cab. Several have been fitted out for the operation of push-pull trains (here in the video) In reverse, the speed is 85 km/h in forward tender. Normal operating speed is 110 km/h. The 23 023 is kept at the Stoom Stichting Nederland railway museum in Rotterdam in the Netherlands and has been operational since March 2019 as you can see with some emotion. Note that the 23.10 series built from 1955 to 1959 in 113 copies for the Deutsche Reichsbahn comes from the standard 23 series of the Deutsche Bundesbahn developed before the Second World War. With the introduction of computers, the computer series was numbered on January 1, 1970, 35 1001-1113. and withdrawn from the Deutsche Reichsbahn in 1977. However, 35 1113 was reactivated and remained in service until 1985.

Excellent video but if it needs to run to Bochum Dahlhausen & Hagen Vorhalle via Hauptstrecke Rhein Ruhr Mulheim an der Ruhr Styrum the locomotive needs ETCS for Zevenaar Emmerich am Rhein section of the The Hollandstrecke Koln/Dortmund-Utrecht since DB BR023 has PZB Indusi Sifa as standard for both West German and East German postwar steam locomotives.

Love all the videos you post.. I have a question for you. Here in America we usually don't run steamers Tender forward, always Engine Tender set up. Why do you run yours Tender foward?
@CabviewHolland Жыл бұрын
The route of this day required a turntable at ‘s-Hertogenbosch, but there is none. So running backwards for the first part, then from ‘s-Hertogenbosch engine forward.

@@CabviewHolland I figured there was a good reason was reason, thank you.
@goetz1169Ай бұрын
This type of Locomotive was constructed to run its maximum speed of 110 km/h forward as well as backward, because it was intended to run on main secondary routes, where even in the olden days were no turntables sometimes. This comes quite handy nowadays where turntables are very rare.
