Hard to tell room size on the screen, but if there is room to frame out a box for the fridge to be rotated to face into the kitchen, the teal fridge and green wall would be in separate rooms and that should stop the colors clashing. Since the fridge “cabinet” would jut into the dining area, to make it look intentional, you could build a pantry/cupboard/shelves from the fridge box over to the roof/wall in the dining room. More storage is always helpful.

If you move your fridge to face the kitchen, flush with the cupboards you have now/set back enough for you to be able to open the door, and build a surround around it. You could build a small island next to it with 2 bar stools to frame off your dining area. Inbetween the fridge and angled roof wall you could build a bookshelf for displaying stuff.

I would add an overhead porch roof to run to when the rain starts. i usually see a deck in the front as well. they can paint the front of the house that same pretty light blue as the fridge which matches the dark blue of the roof. it would look better than white.a covered deck would be perfection.

Your dining room wall color would look ok if you finished the opposing wall with the stained pine boards like the rest of the house. The plywood doesn’t work. Outdoor window trim will make a big difference as well. Looking good!

I agree, I thought it looked fabulous when the white undercoat was painted on. The white makes the whole house look so much bigger & coordinated. As for the green accent wall, nice try, but big mistake, it doesn't tone with the fridge. In fact the fridge is the accent color here, no other color required. Stick to white as with the other walls. With so many small walls you don't need to break it up anymore than it already is. The white is so clean, classy & stylish against the wood, beams, etc. Use some artwork or deco to accent against the white if you feel you need more color. The outside paint could be tinted a soft grey if you take it back to the paint shop, but white is perfectly fine. It's all a learning curve, don't beat yourselves up, it's all coming together nicely. The tiles look amazing! Well done 👏

Instead of wasting all of your exterior paint, you can always bring the paint back to the paint store snd ask them to darken the paint by adding a darker pigment to the paint color. 😉

You could use the outdoor paint as a primer for inside. Looks lots better than putting color on bare wall. Or you could add a couple of ounces of your green to the white. It would then have a nice light green tint for either indoor or outdoors. I've painted 3 of my houses and I have learned that use one good color throughout is the best way to go.

You guys probably won’t see this suggestion, but. You have your nice dining space and your refrigerator takes up a good amount of space there. You should incorporate it into the kitchen by just turning it so the door faces into the kitchen. And, so the back doesn’t seem open to dining area you could build a makeshift plywood wall to hide it. Seems like it would be more practical in both ways.

You can still use your paint. Go to the store and buy one container of the next darker color and mix it with the total amount you now have. That will deepen the color of all of your paint. If that isn't enough, do it again until you reach the color you like. There is no reason to waste your money on paint you can't use. Hope that helps.

The color you picked for outside of the house looks absolutely beautiful! Keep in mind that the paint usually will look a bit darker and will reveal the true tone once it dries. Also, the day outside is downcast (as you are painting) so that will also affect the color you see. Wait until there is a sunny day and you will be able to appreciate the true color a lot more. One thing about you guys is that you are very good painters and you are very neat with the meticulous job you do. Freddy, get an inexpensive rug with a rubber back at a store (around 4X5 feet) and put it right by the door entrance and you will be glad you’ve done this as it will trap the dirt as dogs, cats and people walk in. And please cheer up because the house actually pops beautifully with the color you selected. You don’t want your house to be dark and dreary. There is already so much Forrest green everywhere that seeing the house match the lovely pastel clouds in the sky with the beautiful blue in the background makes it stand out in the most lovely way! Great job guys! Your handy work is gorgeous!🎉😊❤

Paint colors are tough to select but at least it’s just paint! Regarding your refrigerator have you considered moving it a quarter turn to face the kitchen and put it where your trash can is? I would put the front of it flush with your counter top. Then, build it in with cabinets and display space on the dining room side. Only half of the refrigerator would jut into the dining room giving you the perfect amount of space for cabinets to store dishes.

I agree. I think if you painted the the inside wall the same color as the refrigerator, but a few shades lighter, while staying within the same tonal value, will give your space a lighter, brighter vibe, which is much more cohesive, than the dark green color.

I appreciate the real and I was very disappointed to find out that several of the KZbin channels that I did watch were basically professionally backed. Like they had a camera crew. Jordan at one point posted something about where you could go to find out who was actually doing work with professionals. But I can't remember what it was. I do know that these guys are totally real. Hi Guys! Everything is looking so beautiful!!🤩 Could you turn the front of the fridge towards the kitchen window? So the front door of the fridge is facing the kitchen window. That would make the blue color of the fridge only seen when you are in the kitchen. The two colors would not be fighting with each other. The side of the fridge is black, so maybe you could build cabinets around the side and back of the fridge, and keep the forest green inside the eating area. You could add an additional green wall, or even use a stencil to add big jungle leaves to the opposite wall beside the staircase, painting them in green, or just paint the other wall solid green as well. The green is very pretty.😍. I can see how it brings the jungle feel to the eating area. It’s so pretty. And with some twinkle lights, 😆 that would look fabulous. Just a suggestion. The outside color doesn’t show up on video. You need to go with the same color family as the fridge inside. Cream or shade of white outside outside because of your beautiful roof color. Paint stores can usually tint your paint to different color 😊

Guys, don’t sweat the paint. It’s just an accent wall. Keep it for a while, see how it looks throughout the day, and if you decide to repaint you will have time to think about color. I may be the only person who actually likes the green, but I do. In different light it has an agave blue/green hue. Nice. Anyway, you guys are doing GREAT! Love you three (yes, Roger, too).

It’s not about you not being able to select the right paint colour. Always remember to take the paint samples outdoors in daylight, before making a decision. For interior walls, if you have permanent lighting installed, it is wise to take the sample home and check in evening hours too.

as you probably have already learned.... two coats are often needed and colour often looks different in the shade versus direct sunlight. Hope it all works out. You guys should build a cute little bench by the entrance under the window in the laundry area! You can either make it a storage bench where the top lifts up like a lid, or have an open shelf underneath for storage baskets to hold your shoes and other things, or build a little shoe rack underneath. It will also give you an area to sit down and take your shoes on and off by the door and you can make it look nice and homey by adding cushions and decorative pillows! 😊

When you’re painting, you can’t look at thecolors swatches. You have to purchase a sample of the colors you are considering. Paint it, leave it for a day or two and then choose the final color. It will give you a true example of how the paint will look within the space.

You can get a fun peel and stick wall paper and “wrap” the fridge with it. I would do a cool jungle print full of leaves and or flowers. Bright fun colours that would tie into the wall colour. Pinterest has lots of ideas

Generally speaking, you want your wall, even an accent wall, to be neutral colors, like the one that you painted. Imagine if you want to display some art, photographs, pottery, or other things in your home. Neutral colors allow those things to stand out. You do not want your favorite and treasured things to be overwhelmed by a loud background color.

A suggestion that I've done is when picking paint for a large area, purchase the smallest amount you can and test it first before purchasing the full amount you need. I like the inside green but it does clash with the fridge. Maybe a white wall in between the fridge and green wall with help. Things are looking really good!!

So for the outside paint just add some color to mix in the paint buckets u hv already, since it was so spendy! I say a tan or beige ish color. It'll hide dirt and make it warmer than white colors. Hi Rodrigo and Freddie 😊 I was going to suggest with the majority of your interior being white with some black accents and wood that adds warmth, that accent wall would be beautiful if you took the same color as your refrigerator but made the color a darker moody version of that. It would go with wood beautifully and will wouldn't make it dark because you have so much white and light coming through. That wat your chairs and refrigerator will be a nice comparable contrast. Also since that wall is your only straight wall, not on the A slant, this will give you the opportunity to have art or open shelving. I think it would be beautiful to make wooden shelves that will match the other wood you have in the house. Then you could bring in plants (like Rodrigo wanted in the bathroom) and art etc... With an A frame it's kind of difficult to have decor on the walls, at least this way you have an opportunity to make the accent wall in the dining area a beautiful moment.

Exactly why I tried suggesting nicely last time that you buy small cans of paint before investing in large gallons. Live and learn. Reading through the comments perhaps building a deck would enhance the look of your A-frame. Also, would framing out your windows and paint to match or compliment your roof work? Then you could just leave the A-frame white since your roof is a hard match anyway.

Your color choosing is a bit off… the outside needs the same ‘tone’ of color choice as the dining room…the dining room needs a lighter tone of the refrigerator color.. or spray paint the fridge a white or black. ❤ if you bring paint back to the store they can add more of the darker drop to darken the same paint so you don’t have to buy more🥰

When picking colors, get the smallest can possible of the 2-3 colors you consider and then do larger tests on the wall. Always good to do some larger tests. You can also add a little black to the paint bucket and test until you get the more gray. You must mix it super good and you have to make sure you have enough for the area you will paint as you won’t be able to match it if you run out.

Paint colors are hard. The light in the store, your own natural light, your interior lights - it all makes a difference. If you can get a small sample, then paint it on a board, then hold it up in different light conditions when you get home. Many of us have made paint color mistakes. It is good to live with it for a few days before making a decision.

The fridge clashes with that color. The dining room chairs go with it. If you can find a multi paint swatch that matches the fridge and has a shade lighter or darker than the fridge, it would look better. Or get a white fridge? Of course I know the camera picks up the color differently, it's not a bad color, they just don't compliment each other.

I love the gorgeous green wall and blue fridge! It makes me feel happy and creative. It’s much more fun than having a plain house. You guys could buy or make art to hang on the walls and tie together your colors and theme :)

I have green accent walls in my house because realtors say it’s good to bring the outdoors color indoors. I ended up not selling my place but I like having green indoors.

Also what you can do is get a small sample pot of paint in a colour and mix it into the giant tub of paint and mix your own colour that way you can save the paint, I mix my own colours every time, does make retouching it impossible once you've run out of paint though x

It might be a good idea to buy a few more of tiles you need, breakage, measurements off !

You can always mix a color into the white paint to make a custom color. You guys are doing a great job!

How about changing the green to an accent wall in the bathroom and change the wall back to white? Just a thought. That way Rodrigo gets his jungle in the bathroom? You can decorate the white wall to match the fridge.

@@thejunglecouple one more thought. Make sure you get a door for the laundry area wide enough to replace the washer and dryer down the road if needed. Maybe add some extra insulation in that room to drown out the washer/ dryer noise.
