A lot of neurotypical people can't hear it but if you are sensitive to stimulation and stuff then you likely will hear it. But they do make whirring sounds but they tend to be less irritating as you know where they are coming from while the high pitched whine is less natural. That kind of noise can induce nausea and anxiety
