I like that floodlight. Very comforting. Lefty's little paws holding that biscuit while he daintily nibbled on it just melts my heart. I liked the two dogs taking ownership of their houses and telling the other one about it. Dogs crack me up. They take their jobs very seriously.

Just love the scenery on your journey. I love watching Lefty sleeping in the front seat. I traveled from South Florida to PA with 3 big dogs and it was alot of work. We slept at rest areas in btw the 18 wheelers for safety and because the humming from the trucks helped us sleep comfortably. I had to stop quite a bit to let the dogs out to stretch thier legs, do thier business and to rotate them in the SUV. I made it back to PA just before a horrendous snow storm.

Cinnabon = YUMMY! Speaking of jake brakes, once I was going from Nebraska to Iowa through Omaha on 80 and just over the border there was some construction. I was driving a 1986 Mustang and there was an 18 wheeler behind me. Eventually the road got down to one lane. I was boogeying along with my friendly knight of the road behind me when I noticed two cars pulled off on the shoulder ahead. Something told me to lift and just as I did they both pulled out directly in front of us. I could barely stop my little Mustang in time and the poor trucker behind me had to lay down on his brakes. All I could hear was the roar of the jake brake and I couldn't even see his headlights anymore, he was about a foot from my bumper. I felt so bad for him. Luckily we all came through it fine.
@danrandall7942 жыл бұрын
Don't feel bad for him he was following to close and could have killed you. I get a kick when people say things like that other vehicle did something totally unexpected. Really? Just start driving today? Those things are TOTALLY expected and they happen all the time. Wake up people especially you truckers. Distractions and following distance causes so many crashes.

Really a different perspective for me. I drive between Sioux Falls, Mitchell and Chamberlain, SD on a regular basis. The fuel stop in Mitchell, the wind generators near white Lake, and the Missouri River crossing were neat. When you left the Chamberlain Rest area, there was a light blue/turquoise water tower in the distance. I live about 200 yards south of the tower (between the tower and the hospital).
