Max was just hitting all the nostalgia points this episode! Cinnamon sugar toast was a special breakfast treat as a kid (but I’ve never heard of it being called teddy bear toast and that’s ADORABLE). And then Razzles! I know so many of my friends were very into Razzles after the movie 13 Going On 30 came out! And for the record it turns from candy into gum! Also I had a bag of this ribbon candy shipped out to me and omg it’s delicious. Highly recommend!

There are different flavors from blue raspberry to watermelon. They are spelled ZOTZ. They go for like 8 something on Amazon for a pound

I was head/lead Baker for over 25 years at a Safeway home store ( where the executives worked for our division ) until they shut us down. I know the hours and work involved. We tried new products there as nothing was premade or frozen. I really miss it. Try a Turks Turbin ( twists rye, pumpernickel together then from the coils twisted into a cone shape ).

My grandfather was Sicilian, my grandmother was from Tuscany. A lot of times they couldn't understand each other when they weren't speaking English. When they would fight it was the best thing ever. I wish we had them on video fighting. My other grandfather was born in Louisiana, he spoke like the alligator hunter people, I used to look at my Mom for translation because his sentences were like one long word. I on the other hand sounds like a typical California valley girl, my kids make fun of me.

Like the name Max👍 I made it once for some friends of mine from Africa and they had never had it before. They called it special bread and begged me to make more. Holy Ribbon Candy! I started watching your videos (oldest first) when the wheels fell off the planet, but i decided to skip ahead ONE TIME so i could eat the Caramel Filled Apple Pie Ribbon candy that was just delivered, while WATCHING it being made at the same time. I'll go ahead and say it, the "Atlanta" accent challenge is silly at best. Atlanta is a city of transplants so their speech patterns reflect more of where they came from than anything else. They also vary with level of education of the speaker. I'm a 14th generation native Georgian and cant understand most people who live inside the city of Atlanta.

When max said teddy bear toast I was like uhh what? Then when he described what it was I was like, “OHHH POOR MANS CINNAMON TOAST” 🤣 cause there’s the store made ones that have a swirl in it. Which we call rich mans toast lol. Then the one with just toast with butter and you put homemade cinnamon sugar on top which is poor mans toast lol.
