Duca, Whilst we have all known for a few weeks that the boat had been launched, I too did shed a little emotion at seeing this video. It is a great testament to your and Roberta's hard work - you guys have worked your clackers off - that you have reached this milestone. From a chance viewing of some couple travelling in Indonesia some time ago, you have taken myself (and many others) on a wondrous journey. You have clearly gained many skills in this process - eg. in using tools that you were clearly previously unfamiliar with which I think is great, as well as film making - amongst others. Most important are the friends you have made in this time - Fred and Juh, the blokes at the boatyard, and surely many others who haven't featured on the videos, as well as some 200,000 people whom you haven't met who watch you weekly on the net. Friendships are the most important thing in life - even in an Odd Life. And of course it goes without saying that your wonderful companion Roberta is the real star of the show - as I've said before, you are a really lucky bloke. I honestly wish and hope that someday there will be little Roberta and Duca's running round on Odd. Thanks and Congratulations, Potsie, Australia. edit: ps. Don't forget to give yourselves a holiday some time, you deserve it.

It's incredible how much we have learned in this past years. Potsie. We are living an incredible Odd Life. For sure the friends we are making along the way are the most valuable thing of our project. Imagine how ODD must feel! Abandoned and close to death rotting in the back of a boat yard. All of a sudden two beautiful people climb up on you and that’s when your life takes the unbelievable turn. They put all their love and hard work into you and with every day breath a new life into you! And all of a sudden after years of hard labour you see yourself as beautiful as never before! A big crane comes, gently picks you up and slowly raises you, moves you and all of a sudden you feel the soft touch of water gently rocking you. And here you find yourself back riding the vast ocean you thought you would never see again! Yeep, me too couldn’t hide my emotion to see ODD finally back to where she belongs and to participate and watch your happiness was a delight, to say the least! Congratulations and a huge thank you for all the great videos Roberta and Duca! looking forward to come along on your future journey roaming the 7 seas! May you enjoy a safe life of happiness, and adventure, fair winds and always a hand width water under your keel and may ODD always be a loving safe home for you! Oh god, she is a beauty, a creation of true love! ⛵️💞👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍 And my thanks reaching out to everyone who supported this project and made this dream become reality!🙏🙏🙏💞

Today is the very first time i feel the need to comment on your page, just to tell you that there is absolutely no shame in being emotional about your dream unfold in front of you. I too shed a tear of joy for both of you. I have so much respect for all the hard work and dedication you and Roberta have put into this boat. Then i have to mention Fred and his beautiful wife as well. Last but not least...I’m 55 years of age and single for many, many years. The reason for that is because i am still searching for a woman and a life partner that looks at me with so much admiration, respect and love like Roberta is always looking at you. You my friend are the luckiest man alive. May you two beautiful souls never loose that special connection. I wish you fair winds and following seas. Now lets go sailing!

No scale can measure the amount of joy I have seeing the end of this phase of your Life Adventure. Following you week by week from the Container House to your sailboat has been a true highlight of my weeks. Your perseverance, willingness to learn allowed you to overcome many challenges that stop most people at the dream stage. But I have to say, the most overwhelming thing throughout your videos is, we never saw your arguments, only the harmony that is the foundation of your life together. You could turn this into a feature-length film, as my wife’s parents did as they built their 42’ Westsail they named “Windrifter”. They filmed their build and their 1-year cruise from Los Angeles to Acapulco to Hawaii to Glacier Bay Alaska and back to Los Angeles. Thank you for bringing me along in your adventure! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Duca and Roberta, I am so very proud of you for seeing this project through to launching and beyond...what a wonderful episode to see s/v Odd floating and alive with food and friends ...thanks for allowing me to have a small part in your life and this project. I believe I have been a Patron for circa a year and watching as the Odd community has grown and the boat has moved towards becoming completely new has been a real joy, as was meeting you both in February in Port Orchard, NY...looking forward to what the future holds for you! Your Tennessee, Va. USA neighbor, Michael

I have also been a Patreon for around a year (with one minor issue where I had to cancel and re-join the same day) and I loved watching their list of Patreons grow over that year, I can't remember exactly how many they had at the time but I know at least a couple of hundred have joined since and it just shows that even though the content is great it's Duca and Robertas great chemistry, attention to detail and love of what they are doing which draws so many new people to their channel and also makes so many want to help as Patreons. I subscribe to many channels but this one was the only one I really wanted to become a Patreon on so we could watch their journey move forward. 200 thousand subs now and I can't wait till they hit 1 million, imagine how many Patreons they will have then. 🥳 🥳 We'll be seeing the title one day "We rebuild a 50 meter yacht sitting on the dry for 40 years". 😀 😀

We started following when the house was going together. Then you found the boat and I was like there is no way you could get that boat looking good again it would just take too much! I am so very pleased to say I was right and I was wrong! It did take you a great deal of work that most would not have done it is why the boat sat for so long. Yet you two were the one's to really take on this project and we have watched every single one of the videos along the way and I can say I can not remember being so proud of the out standing work you have done with this boat! I loved your list, because I too was making a mental check list of all that needed to be done and it was so nice to see you guys on top of every little detail. I will always be following and maybe one day I will see the boat. Stay safe.
