The first movie is actually more of a thriller. The ridiculous gore and body horror started in 2, but really ramped up in 3+. So the original movie is good to watch for 16+ year olds. Especially if you haven’t had the ending ruined for you.

I'd guess half of it is the lightning and scenery that just is such a big part of SAW. I remember watching the beginning of SAW 7 where there outside in the glass cubicle and while beeing a bit on edge it was not nearly the same as the parts where there are in an old abandoned house, old factories etc.

If you want to be in for a scare, you should know that A. A. Milne's book series recently fell into the public domain, which means Disney no longer owns exclusive rights to the books. Indie filmmaker Rhys Frake-Waterfield is gonna be releasing a horror reimagining of the book, called Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood & Honey. The story of the movie is that Christopher Robin stopped visiting his friends in the Hundred-Acre-Wood, and he stopped bringing them food to eat, so they soon became feral, and now embark on a quest for revenge. You should see the movie, and to say that nostalgia would come at you as trauma would be an understatement.

So funny how he's afraid to do the reverse bear trap scene in this version of the movie. Honestly, he'd be in for a shock when someone told him about how Saw's co-creator Leigh Whannel suffered in the same way. Basically, Saw's creators shot this short film called Saw 0.5, in which Leigh Whannel played the protagonist who gets the reverse bear trap on, and manages to get it off. The thing is, rather than using something more harmless like they did in the actual movies, Saw's creators used an actual functioning trap made by their engineer friend, and as far as I'm concerned, the rust used was also real. Poor Whannel wouldn't even see what a massive success this franchise he made with James Wan would become. His acting career might've even been CUT SHORT.

First saw movie is actually a lot more like a thriller than horror imo, because I never liked horrors, but my brother said "you have to watch Saw 1", and I did, and I actually liked it, and there was more talking and mystery than pure horror. Because the violence and awful things are so few and far between, and its more about the story about the people who are trapped, what they'll do under pressure, and a mystery about who the villain is and why they put the main characters in this situation to begin with

Jenna was actually in quite a few older Crew videos around 2016-2017 and Ivy has been in a bunch of the older Big Bear Node videos! There was also a really sweet video Sam made a few years back about the experience of being a new parent that features a lot of his wife Sarah.

How about Squid game rated G? Maybe Sausage party rated g? I said this because I think they are both inappropriate for kids that the corridor crew should tone down and make it more modest.

There is something strangely sinister about it... I think its because the scenes are still so atmospherically set for horror regardless of the specifics of what happens in them. That said though, I do kinda love the G-rated horror idea to the R-rated kids film idea. I dont know if theyll ever get some brutal horror to a true G rating, but I hope they try some more.
@Mattened
@Mattened Жыл бұрын
well yeah, it's the dark, rusty industrial look, the sinister pitched down voice on a creepy looking clown and people either chained up, or with things strapped to their faces seemingly against their will. It's someone who has no children's idea of a horror movie for kids.

Yeah, and for some kids the broccoli would be real torture if they can't stand the taste of broccoli, they would probably rather be tickled or have to dig through LEGO bricks, they might even say "That's ok, I don't want the cookies if I have to eat the broccoli first." Poor kids.

@@Mattened Oh dang if that's true I need to tell that random teen that walked into my house and called me mom to get out lol (I do have a kid.) I think it's so funny that visual artists are grossed out by Saw. I specifically love the Saw and Final Destination movies just because I love to see the visuals. Every time I see a new gag, I immediately start to try and figure out how it was done, just like the Crew does on the couch.

The behind the scenes stuff is fascinating. Making death traps safe for repeated use during filming is so complicated. My favorite is the needle pit, for the psychological component. Seeing them take out each metal needle and replacing it with rubber tubing makes me appreciate the work put into this. They actually had to stop and re-check every single needle because they suspected halfway through that they accidentally dropped a live needle in there. They thought it would be one day, two days tops. Lol no. =)

Every Halloween Movie is rated R or for adults? Then I think of all these family friendly Halloween movies: Hocus Pocus, the Halloween Town series, Spooky Buddies, Haunted Mansion, The Muppets Haunted Mansion, Toy Story Od Terror, Under Wraps, The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Adams Family Animated film, Hotel Transylvania series, Frakenweenie, Twitches 1 and 2, Disney Zombies, Invisible Sister, Fun Size, It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, Coco, Coraline, The Scariest Story Ever: A Mickey Mouse Halloween Spooktacular, Paranorman, Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit, The Book Of Life, Lego Star Wars Terrifying Tales, The Curse of Bridge Hollow, Corpse Bride, Room On The Broom, Monster House, The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad, The Munsters, Cruella, Super Monsters Save Halloween, The Witches, The Adams Family, Curious George: A Halloween Boo, The Goonies, Spookly The Square Pumpkin, The Babysitters Guid To Monster Hunting, Goosebumps, Pooh's Heffalump Halloween Movie, Gnome Alone, Scoob, Casper, Don't Look Under The Bed, Little Monsters, The Witches Ball, Double, Double, Toil & Trouble, Under Wraps, The Little Vampire, and I'm sure there is many more. I didnt include some like Gremlins and some other as that might be a little too scary for Littles ones, also I didn't include Beetlejuice cause that one has some inappropriate scenes.
