Wow. 950 dollar rental. Great place Jerry. All rentals you are showing are great. As you know I first came to Ajijic in 2019. And La Floresta too. I lived there 2.5 years. You hit a grand slam with this video and knocked it out of the park. Thanks Jerry

I think you nailed it Jerry. These are very nice examples of rentals and the neighborhoods they’re located in.

7:46 That's the hotel my wife and I stayed when we visited a little over a year ago. The rooms/decor are a bit outdated, but it's still nice and we had a great time.

I have been in PV for 8 years, and expats have moved in by the thousands, forcing rental and real estate prices up dramatically

The neighborhood seems safe and quiet. I like the 1st apartment for me because I m single and not wealthy.

The two bedroom with a pool is a great value. I have seen some Chapala area real estate that seems to stay on the market and others that sell fast. I think sometimes they price it high to see if anyone will pay that much and then take it off and drop the price but it is still overpriced. I am sure that real estate agents would not want it to be seen but it would be interesting to see similar homes priced very differently.

Hi Jerry, I would like to know about renting monthly verses a yearly lease. Are there a lot furnished rentals that that are month to month in Ajijic or Chapala? Also one other question. Are there a lot of barking dogs in Ajijic or Chapala? It probably depends on where I rent. Would a gated community be more quiet? Thanks for your wonderful informative videos. Blessings, Cindy
@JerryBrownTravels7 ай бұрын
The difference between a month to month and the yearly rental with a month-to-month they may ask you to leave and only give you 30 day notice with a year you're guaranteed your one year and your rent would stay the same. Mexico is known for its barking dogs in a gated community do you have a better chance of it being quieter.

This prices are more then in Texas or New Mexico Why if over here it’s dollars paychecks And in Mexico it’s pesos it should be less leaving prices

I just checked 2 bedroom rental houses on HAR in Katy, Tx, an average suburb and you are talking $1500 minimum plus high utility costs! You can easily do less than that even in high end Ajijic.
@Mexicobeanpole7 ай бұрын
In the slums of Texas and New Mexico maybe.

Wonder if there are small studio apartments walking distance to stores? $250-300 mo? Or have you seen a rooftop studio?
@JerryBrownTravels7 ай бұрын
NOT in Ajijic maybe San Nicholas 5 miles outside of Chapala

The rents and the properties were inexpensive...they have increased ridiculously, if you compare them to how much the average Mexican makes..they are expesive even for those who make dollars..greetings from Souther Ca.

Hey Jerry, do Expats move to ixtlahuacan Jalisco? How close is it to Lakeside? What are rents like?
@JerryBrownTravels7 ай бұрын
ixtlahuacan is about 15 miles from Chapala I think this area is a future area when Lakeside gets overgrown there's a lake about 10 miles away from ixtlahuacan and I think more expense will venture towards the lake. ixtlahuacan it's a very beautiful little town with a lot of potential rents in that area would be anywhere from $500 up
