Hello friends and welcome to another video! So, late last year we decided to take the plunge and move across the country for a fresh start in a new place. After doing some serious decluttering, we packed up our house, grabbed our cat, and hit the road (and vlogged our whole cross-country road trip in our minivan!) It's been a couple of months and we are finally set up enough to dive back into making videos, so here is our moving vlog! Hopefully you guys enjoy it, and thank you for being so patient with us while we figure all of this out.
Also, sorry about any smudginess of the windshield! It was tough to keep clean on our drive, but I know sometimes it can look gross, so sorry about that! Lol

Crusty was, unfortunately, already having health issues long before they moved. He was quite old, and the change from the west coast to the east coast had little to nothing to do with his passing. The biggest reason we found out so much about his health problems was that the Livestream audience constantly asked about him. So, we got weekly updates.

Idk if Safiya and Tyler get enough credit for being the absolute top example there could possibly be of a healthy, committed relationship. This is the type of partnership everyone should aim for. When people say "marry your best friend", this is the epitome. I know a lot of your viewers are younger and it is SO important that they see this level of healthy communication and affection. It's also important for people more like me whose last relationship may not have been a good one. It makes me so happy to see both of you happy together. You see a couple of minutes of someone else's life and you think it's perfect. Nothing is perfect. They are a normal couple that no doubt argues, sulks and do whatever other couples do.
@HirakoKuyo
@HirakoKuyo Жыл бұрын
@@WellISaidIt I mean there is literally hours upon hours of footage from their streams of them interacting with each other. There is a lot of unhealthy representation of relationships in social media so it's always nice to see healthy realistic relationships. No one said they dont argue and do stuff we don't see but why do you have to be a Debbie Downer because someone is grateful for healthy dynamics on social media?
@WellISaidIt
@WellISaidIt Жыл бұрын
@@HirakoKuyo unrealistic can be both positive and negative. Both would do equal amounts of harm. If you are basing what a relationship should be like do it with people in your life and not online. Every one had Ned from the try guys as the perfect relationship goals and see what happened there. He was cheating on his wife. It's not being a Debby Downer as you put it, it's being realistic. You have no idea what their relationship dynamics are off of KZbin, you only see what people want you to see but if you want to keep your head in the clouds then that is your prerogative.

Saf chastising Tyler for his tiny jumps at the Grand Canyon is literally every wife/husband at the Grand Canyon lol. Also, as I watch more video, I realize that my family was driving from Minnesota to Texas right around the same time they were driving across the country the other way. Wonder if we crossed paths at any point? There was some nasty winter weather on that trip!

Seeing New Mexico through “new eyes” always reminds me of how beautiful my state actually is.Y family moved here when I was 2, and I have lives here ever since. Growing up in NM in the 80’s&90’s was definitely a privilege. My family didn’t have a lot of money so my parents had to come up with things a family of 9 could do that wouldn’t break the bank. We did a lot of camping, hiking, playing outside(it was the 80’s so kids could do that). I remember as a kid every December we would drive up to the Sandia Mountains and chop down our own Christmas tree. I’m not sure if this ever ended up being cheaper than buying one from a Christmas tree lot because you still had to buy a permit to go do that, but it definitely made longer lasting memories. If y’all ever get that opportunity to visit New Mexico again there are some things I recommend. - The 1st through 2nd weekends in October the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta is held. There are a ton of things going on in Albuquerque and surrounding cities that you can do during that week as well. - The Annual Greek Festival is always held the 1st Friday through the 1st Sunday of October at a Greek Orthodox Church in Albuquerque. - Craft Fairs starting the 1st weekend of October and going to the last weekend of November. - NM has over 100 breweries, and Albuquerque is home to around 20 of those. - Camping is BIG in NM. This is a late Spring to early Fall activity. - If you want to experience something you have probably never done in your life go camping at the KOA campgrounds in *Carlsbad, NM. And while you’re there make sure to visit as many of the caverns as you can. Some you have to reserve a spot for because they allow only a certain number of people down in them each year. Those are usually for the more experienced hikers because you have to hike to get to them, and then you have to do a lot of walking when you’re down in them. - °There is also the bat viewing. Yes, you read that right, the bat viewing. Every night(I don’t remember what time) all the bats leave the caves and go hunting for their dinner for the night. It’s pretty awesome to watch. - Winter is big for tourists in NM. We have some of the nicest skiing in the Southwest United States here. Take your pick of places. There’s *Taos, *Ruidoso, *Red River, *Angel Fire, *Santa Fe, and even the *Sandia Mountains in Albuquerque. I’m not big on the outdoor Winter activities so from what I understand from my sister and her husband who are big skiers is that Santa Fe isn’t that great, and the Sandia Mountains are for “newbies”. There are other outdoor activities you can do besides skiing and snowboarding if you visit one of these places in the winter. For instance, in *Angel Fire you can go on a horse drawn sleigh or wagon(I’m not sure which). They probably do this is the other ski resort cities I just don’t know for certain. The reason I know they do it in Angel Fire is because my sister did it a few years ago. *** Anyways, I hope this wasn’t too long of a post, and I hope that it has helped anyone who has come across it who was looking for something to do this winter. New Mexico really is a beautiful place with so much culture, and it’s so unique. And I might be a bit biased, but I think our food is the best you’ll ever eat. Lol***

I feel making sure you're anxious fur kid is secure. It's why I bought a kennel that specifically fits in my somewhat small car so my puppy who is very nervous in the car could have a safe and secure place for her to lay down and relax and not be...well exposed to uncomfortable windows with stuff zooming by at like 65-70 miles an hour. She did much better in there laying down and sleeping than sitting uncomfortably on a seat. Crusty looks chill as heck! What a good kitty!

@@annies6566 Fun fact that's most likely the case but I can't be 100% sure cause I wasn't there: the missing ear tip is most likely from when he was neutered as a stray. Trap-Neuter-Return programs work to curb stray cat populations by trapping colonies, spaying/neutering them so they don't multiply, and releasing them back to where they were found so another colony doesn't just move on in. TNR programs mark that the cat has been spayed/neutered by sterily cutting off the ear tip where the cat won't feel too much pain (sort of like if you went into surgery and they pierced your ear while you were unconscious). Basically, at some point Crusty was TNR neutered (most likely when he was a very young kitten, since in one video Safiya and Tyler said he'd had a vasectomy instead of his balls removed).
