Also a bit of an experiment, I didn't want to be like everyone else in my predicament and collect social security disability and live on a fixed income. It was a dangerous experiment, if I wasn't successful in the re-entry process I was going to end it all for sure now that I'm here living in God's joy I can love again ❤️

Oh, you were staying on a boat. By your video title, I thought you had actually bought a house boat as your permanent home. I'm such a doofus. haha. This was an interesting video. You guys have such amazing hearts. After you get your van, head up to the Smoky Mountains...you'll fall in love with it there. Then come to Ohio...an underrated state. Lots of beauty here - there's Hocking Hills for some great hiking, and Marblehead Lighthouse on Lake Erie is a peaceful place to watch the water. Head north to Michigan - Traverse City, Petoskey, Mackinac Island. Very cool areas here in the Eastern U.S.

A college professor does this not for the homeless but for students that have no extra cash for these things. She puts them in student bathrooms. Female bag has feminine hygiene products and one extra pair of underwear. The men's have well manly things in them. I love her idea and the heart and soul a person carries who does these generous and much needed deeds. There is so much good let in this world,just have to Wade the bad to find the good.

I got weirdly teary-eyed while watching the Blessing Bags. It really just touched me ... it’s one of those God things that you just know is Him cuz it’s pretty powerful. Maybe I’m supposed to do blessing bags... that and California is my dream place to live and when I visited, I always had coffee right by a little homeless camp. They were so sweet and would talk to me while I did my laundry. I wonder how many Blessing Bags my Prius could haul to Cali. It’s only 2000 miles one way 😂 there are so many organizations here to help the homeless here in our town. My daughter had some homeless friends and the system here is super active. Daily meals at churches and places to sleep in the church gymnasium. But in Cali there are so many that need help. So now I have just another reason to go back to Cali. I could haul more in MoonPie but she’s such an old girl and the Prius is almost gas free 😮 and now has an inverter so I can cook and make coffee 😃 ooooh I could get styrofoam cups and hand out coffee. I love seeing this. Thanks for sharing!

Everyone thinks that California is a place for the rich and famous but in reality there are many homeless people living there in makeshift shelters and tents. Your blessing bags are such a kind and thoughtful gesture. I wish some of the wealthy people living in mansions there and on big luxurious yachts you see in the harbours there were as kind and generous as you. I heard about guy named Elvis Summers a while back who was trying to build tiny homes/shelters for some homeless people in the LA area. Not sure if he was successful as the city was fighting him on it but what would look nicer, a tent or a tiny house? It might not be a solution to homelessness but it would give them a safer place to sleep at night. Safe journey back to Florida lovelies. We hope to return to Florida in April/May of 2022. x

I am friends literally with some homeless people in South Texas. I am still learning after years what is needed daily. A great sandwich and chips and drink.... some cigs...do not judge. A flashlight..a can opener.. A pillow....mosquito spray, baby powder, sun glasses, baseball caps, white socks!!!,toenail clippers, Blistex, gift cards to close restaurants...HUGS..handshakes, Visene, baby shampoo...trust me. Backpacks...encouragement notes..Wallets, instructions to hospitals and non-profits with phone numbers. and depending on the weather coat or t shirts....so much more

If you haven't seen it already, this book is part of a collection they are my all time favourites. It is called My Cool Houseboat. There is also one for campervans, caravans, sheds and I think a few more. They are by Jane Field-Lewis and Chris Haddon. The other thing that I have been busting to share is in your goodie bags maybe consider putting in a rose quartz crystal for self love and healing of the heart and if they aren't into crystals maybe a note in the pack to ask them to regift or or if that's not their thing to put it back into the earth or even throw it into the ocean if they feel that way inclined! PS are there houseboats in Florida or is it too hazardous weather wise for them?:-)

What an incredible adventure to spend some time on San Francisco bay in a houseboat. It is awesome what you two have done to help the homeless. If I had to be homeless I'd not mind living there. I think it's awesome you guys were adventurous and courageous enough to go into tent city. And not just go there but actually talk to the people. Everyone has a story and everyone deserves to be heard. And what a contrast tent city is to the fancy houseboats, which are only a few minutes walk. Such two different styles of living so close to each other. Hopefully, things will stay this way.

The crushing of boats! OMG, that breaks my heart. I can't think of anything meaner and more cruel than that. My God, that's going to be stuck in my head today. Why...why! So, they confine people to the boats, if they leave for any period of time, it's a good chance their boats won't be there when they return???? They take away their home and basically escalate their homelessness...moving them into tents and encampments. This reminds me of what they did in Los Angeles with the tiny home community that had been built specifically for the homeless. One day, the city comes in and demolishes the homes. Many didn't even get to pack up all their belongings. The California government is despicable. Everything that wonderful woman said is SO TRUE!! Thank you for letting her speak her truth. I understand the scope of the situation but the government is exacerbating the problem and causing grave mental distress by DEMOLISHING their homes. Thank you for being so giving and handing out your Blessing Bags...you are a very special couple! Big Hugs:)...xo
