Sounds like great adventures ahead for you guys! I’m excited to see where it goes. Just be careful with the laws of international real estate. My dad owned a home in Costa Rica and it was impossible for me to sell. I would tell anyone I know just to rent and avoid all that hassle. It’s likely you guys know more than he did about this topic though😅 Again, I’m super excited to see your guys adventures!

We are super excited. Thanks for the heads up. We planned on renting in different areas. It’s so inexpensive to rent, why settle and buy anything right now is kind of what we’re thinking. We really want to experience all of Thailand and renting just seems easier.

I absolutely 100% agree. We all need to take a step out once in awhile and follow a dream, take a new path, experience something new whether it’s big or small. We’ve talked about this for over 2 years and FINALLY decided if we didn’t do it now, we’d never do it. Thank you so much. I've traveled all over the world. Thailand is great and would be my number 1 choice if I were leaving the US. Italy, Spain, and Portugal are also great but not tropical and get chilly in the winter, Argentina is also a great place and great culture. However, again, it gets chilly in the winter and there's a crime issue. We live in Sarasota now and love it.

Try koh phangan island. It's a nice little cozy place that does get a decent amount of European tourists, like Bali. I know a few retired people in my neighborhood(actually, my neighbor to my left, she gets 80k a year in retirement funds). All she does is stay home and do nothing. I'm like omg, if I were retired and get that much money each year, I would go on cruises and vacations, or whatever. She's just wasting her years away doing nothing. Such a waste. Oh, there is pickleball on the island.
