It's awesome out here and yes certain parts of AZ are expensive but not all of it, I'm in a small town outside of Tucson and it's quite a bit cheaper so it all just depends. I'm sure you'll find the perfect house for your growing family, the housing market is insane at the moment but I know you'll find what's right for you guys at the right moment. I JUST visited Phoenix area last week and I LOVED it there! You must go do the Dolly Steamboat, Top Golf, the Devil's Bridge hike, Organ Stop Pizza, Uncle Bear's, Tortilla Flat, and so much more!! I worked in purchasing and met a lot of people in my travels. I was in Las Vegas waiting for a flight with my family and ran into a couple of people I knew from Denver who were also in purchasing. Coincidentally, leaving from Reno, I ran into the mother of one of my friends who was going to Reno to visit extended family. Arizona is great. The freedom here is a top notch. Just be prepared for the long summer nights when we have many nights where the low doesn’t get below 90 degrees. It takes a little while to get used to. Also the electric bills can almost double for 5-6 months
