Can I just say I think that you are one of the best instructors out there and dealt with the situation very good. It was right explaining where she did go wrong however I would say that you didn't need to explain to the extent you did. She was aware of her mistake and probably felt slightly embarrassed after. That's enough to provent the same occurance. I think explaining it too much can knock her confidence for next time Tbh. That's only my opinion though. But you did deal with the situation very good... I was told the clutch is to high up? could you or anyone here please, well if you understand what I'm trying to explain lol, could help me would be appreciated, it does be a bit dangerous at roundabouts etc as other cars are taking of 10mph I'm going about 1mph lol...

Julie M more gas?? of course slowly moving the clutch out but i had this issue in my actual instructors car and he assured me that you know, whenever my foot is on the clutch it doesn’t matter how much gas i put on, so long as my foot is on that clutch nothing can happen and only will when i release it slowly as of course that will prevent any jolts etc. my issue was also roundabouts and setting off quicker as well as its pretty much go go go when you can!x

Tartanhero13 I actually learnt in an Mercedes A180d, it's a great car to drive and helps the learner so much throughout the test; but most learners will get a crappy 1.0l or 1.2l petrol after which makes it harder since the Mercedes didn't have a traditional handbrake and you also only need to move off with the clutch... In a petrol it's a totally different story, which is why I think all learner cars should be small engine petrol cars...
