Thanks to your older video "Why you should make a website", I have decided to teach myself HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and I built my own small business website from scratch, selling my own graphic design products and services. For me, WordPress costs too much money for basic functionality, and I would like to keep the cost at $0 as much as humanly possible. Too much upfront costs and subscriptions these days. What's nice about coding from scratch, is you literally just have a folder of your whole website that you can move around to different web hosts. You can edit your website offline too, which is cool.

There’s an important difference between WordPress as a platform and WordPress as software. They are on separate websites. The software is free, open-source, and built with PHP as a Content Management System (CMS). You can host it yourself and even run it offline on your computer, but this does take some technical setup-like running a local web server with PHP and, if you want it accessible on the web, configuring a router port. The WordPress platform is a hosting service that runs WordPress for you, handling setup and storage but for a fee. You can still code your site from scratch with WordPress software if you’re comfortable learning a bit of PHP. Plenty of free tutorials are available on KZbin and across the web if you're up for exploring it!

hey! thats sick great job! wordpress is free with tons of free themes and plug ins. if you download the free updraft plug in or something it can back up your website to a free drop box account to migrate to other hosts. :)

Very excited! I have an idea for the forum or maybe a separate community page or a group where people can share some stamps/stickers/other creative little things they could add to their websites. I think it can be very interesting and helpful for people to make their sites more creative and have easy access to all those resources

IM SO GLAD IT FINALLY LAUNCHED, ive been looking forward to it cause it is such a good idea! ive been looking at other peoples websites for the past half an hour! however, after that i tried to register in. my account was created and activated, but the password that i so surely knew cause i just created it didnt work when i tried to log in. i changed it through my email and i even used a suggested password bc idk i thought maybe then it would work and it still says password incorrect. i think there is an issue with that :( or maybe im geniunely stupid who knows

there is a limit on video file sizes currently - so i think for videos it's best to embed youtube videos on your post rather than uploading videos onto the server directly >_
