Join Pastor Voddie Baucham as he delivers a powerful message on the enduring impact of sin, the concept of 'scar tissue', and the path to true repentance and healing. In this profound sermon, Pastor Baucham explores the deep scars left by sin, not just on individuals, but across generations, and how these scars affect our relationships, our communities, and our spiritual journeys.
Discover why acknowledging our sins and understanding their consequences is crucial for our spiritual growth. Pastor Baucham challenges contemporary views of sin and forgiveness, urging us to embrace a stance of brokenness and humility before God. He delves into the importance of memory in our spiritual lives, arguing that remembering our sins plays a key role in testifying to God's grace, warning us against future transgressions, and celebrating our spiritual victories.
Through scripture and personal insights, Pastor Baucham illustrates how sin is an affront to a holy and righteous God and why brokenness is an appropriate response to our transgressions. This sermon is a call to introspection, a reminder of the weight of our actions, and an invitation to experience the transformative power of God's forgiveness and grace.
Whether you're struggling with past sins, seeking spiritual renewal, or simply looking to deepen your understanding of biblical teachings on sin and repentance, this message is for you. Let's journey together towards healing, redemption, and a closer relationship with God.

Anybody else feel lonely and abandoned by friends and society? Trusting and walking with God comes at a price…but I would rather have God and that peace than the emptiness while surrounded by people who pretend to love me. Maybe my loneliness in this world comes from my pride, my brokenness, not able to build a relationship, a long term friendship… but I still trust God to reveal to me what the truth is. Please pray for me so I am enlightened.

There are a lot of churches today that refuse to remind us of our sin. Instead they chose to speak only of the good and the promise of God. We were made to be broken, this is the start of our healing and the given life promised by grace. Men like Mr. Baucham are few in these times . Pray for strong men as he is and for workers of His harvest ❤❤❤

This morning the Holy Spirit showed this truth to me, He showed me how beautiful my hands are, my fingers are made to glorify God, they're made to exhaust to serve God, They're beautifully made by God and For God and never intended to use gratifying my carnal lustful desire. I wept because God opened my eyes. Our Christian walk is indeed impossible without the work of the HOLY SPIRIT in us.

I'm just now reading this comment. We have a need to rush God. God works in His own pace because He knows what will help us grow in His will. We have to be in the Bible getting to know Him. This has helped me through many trails of this world and of my own trails of the flesh. Pray alot to Him. He is fixing what is broken as you grow in the faith. Have faith He is with you my friend your not alone. Sending prayers 🙏❤ He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3

Brother Voddie is absolutely correct, as usual. I spent a long time addicted to drugs. namely one that starts with the letter H. i was a HORRIBLE person. i grew up in a Christian home and went to a Christian school + church two-three times per week when i was a kid. i went bad around the age of 18 and didn't come back to Christ until 2019, when i was 35 years of age. my relationship with Jesus is better and stronger than it EVER was before. i learn everything the hard way. i thank God every day for saving me from that sinful life. i'm still a sinner. i sin every day. i wish i didn't. i am a work in progress, now. Jesus saved my life and he will save yours, too. build a relationship with Christ. it won't be easy but the rewards are far larger than you could ever imagine.

There is deliverance available through the blood of Jesus for tormenting thoughts. Romans 8:1 there is therefore no condemnation to those in Christ Jesus who walk after the spirit and not after the flesh. There are many prayers on KZbin to assist with repentance and freedom from sexual sins. You are a new creation in Christ Jesus.

Alot of churches today gloss over everything - to them forgiving is forgetting. But when we learn from our sin, face the consequences (Earthly), we recieve discipline. When I threw a tantrum in a public place, as a child, I knew I was loved, but I knew I would face the consequences for my actions, not because of whether or not I'm loved. That's making mistakes in Christ: IT HURTS! It leaves scars. But He still loves us.

TO BE BROKEN IS TO TREMBLE AT THE WORD OF GOD. Thus says the Lord: “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool; what is the house that you would build for me, and what is the place of my rest? All these things my hand has made, and so all these things came to be, declares the Lord. But this is the one to whom I will look: he who is humble and contrite in spirit and trembles at my word. I agree that sin always leaves a scar in some way, shape or form - yes, even after we give our lives to Christ the scars still remain. I also agree that we should abhor our sin, as it keeps us humble and dependent upon the grace of Jesus...... but we should not dwell on it to the point of obsession in which it actually becomes a stumbling block and keeps us from moving forward or causes us to give up on our faith because of repeated failures. Deliverance can take on many different forms and be carried out in many different ways. The main focus should be discipline, perseverance and steadfastness in our walk. As we do this Christ is working his will within us and is perfecting our faith. The holy spirit will continue to convict us of our sin to the point of repentance and redirection. But this only comes if we focus on Jesus. The closer we get to Jesus, the further away we get from sinm

This is true. Many of us come to God fully broken because we were always broken without God. We have to be rebuilt in the Holy Spirit. We cannot do any of this alone. And I know people who have money, a beautiful family and appear to be blessed beyond measure and yet are empty and depressed inside. They need God. We all need God. No matter what we have or do in this world, no God we are dead inside. I thank God everyday for showing me such amazing love, grace and mercy. He healed my heart and my spirit. He gives me such peace and serenity and instilled so much of His love within me. All the times Satan used and manipulated me to sin against my Father, breaks my heart.

Amen! I never want to forget the sins I’ve done. I need to remember them so that I never forget where I came from so I never ever go back. And it’s a beautiful testimony to the power of God!

Never have i seen the need to be broken but you have put it so well because it has helped me to push forward in Christ because i don't want to go back to where i was, i now see the importance of brokenness from a different angle

I love my evangel church ⛪️ the pastor and the Bible teacher both are so biblical teachers and talk about sins all the time . They do not preach us to like it , but to confront us and help us to grow in our sanctification. Praise the Lord for His word and His faithful servants .
