I think what mattel should do it just using the decals from AR and putting them on new cars at first. If those cars sale well enough then they should move onto re-releasing the orginal cars in a premium mainline series. Also thank you for the multiple shoutouts.

I think another reason why AcceleRacers fans weren’t really noticed is because we were all kids back then and we were too young to share our voices until we got older and out there to share our love for the franchise so then we get stuff for Infinite Loop, Unleashed, Unleashed 2, the Teku Deora II real life livery, the NFT Garage Teku Deora II, and now a cheap Teku Deora II available for everyone to buy. I think more can happen in the future

I know they dont hate us. But i swear, they do a hotwheels premuim set of acceleracers on real riders for 5 bucks a piece like they do for fast and furious, i think it would go really well.

I can still remember going to Blockbuster and renting World Race and Acceleracers 2, 3, and 4. They never had 1, but we got the box set dvd eventually. Good times. I tried to get back into the fandom about 6 years ago but realized majority of the fans were just spamming mattel with petitions demanding Acceleracers 5, which will never happen and people complaining about ebay scalpers and price gouging. Re-watching the films... They don't hold up as well as when you're wearing the rose-tinted glasses. I agree with a lot of your points and Im glad there's some people dedicated to documenting this series. Love the content. Keep it up!

I’m a hot wheels dealer over in canada and you’re right, the acceleracers/ 00’s era hot wheels collectors are definitely not in the same community as the standard licensed models collectors. Those 2 communities exist in a completely separate world one from each other. I went to the convention in atlanta and people have told me there was a good amount of guys asking for acceleracers. The thing is that with the nft acceleracers coming out, it is no longer an unknown series and every scalper and resellers are now aware of acceleracers, they will drive up the prices even further now by hoarding them up instead of leaving them on the table as they’re just some random fantasy cars to the naked eye

i went to a hotwheels event on Brazil, and i was literally the only person with acceleracer cars, everyone there were on their 30´s or something like that, and they didn´t even know about acceleracers, for me that´s weird, cause i´m 17 now its so weird to not see any acceleracers fan at an event cause i thought acceleracers was a well known show around here

I would say that Tezlaposting was a big boom for the community, it brought a lot of us together who didn’t really know there were other fans out there. Kay Powers put in a lot of work advertising Tezlaposting in other communities to bring fans in, and thanks to that the community was able to actually come together and be far more noticeable for Mattel.

Even though we got the NFT AR Deora 2, I'm still happy with the Re-Colors of Acceleracers and HW35 Cars I own (Reverb, Hollowback, Chicane and Spine Buster are some examples). Edit: When it comes to NFTs in general, I've always seen them as a "You'll own nothing and be happy" scheme, much like how I view Digital Video Games, Movies, Manga etc.

Can someone please give me a brief recap of this video and what led to the afternath of AcceleRacers NFTs? I watched the video, and I didn't understand a single thing about this.

Basically Mattel didn’t really know Acceleracers fans existed until they started to buy dlc related to Acceleracers which then led to Acceleracers being put in games more. The reason why they didn’t know we existed was because we only have an online presence since most of the fandom doesn’t go out to events and stuff like that. So when Mattel actually announced their own discord server, Acceleracers fans started to flock to it only to find out that the whole Discord server was for NFTs. Because of that a whole bunch of fighting and bickering between Acceleracers fans and NFT garage fans happened which led to the NFT garage fans making a mean joke about Acceleracers fans being a NFT thing which some of the higher ups saw as a thing they could get Acceleracers into, not knowing this isn’t what we wanted and then when the time came to redeem the cars, only around 500 out of like 2000 actually were redeemed because of there whole nft system was bad and they had horrible communication with fans essentially making the NFT Deora 2 a failure.

An even briefer recap though is basically since Acceleracers fans and Mattel had poor communication with each other. It led to someone at Mattel thinking we wanted nft garage things which we didn’t and the whole nft thing failed because of a lack of a good system and a lack of communication

I'm going to make a custom nft deora...1000 dollars in the USA is a lot of money...in Brazil it's a real fortune (more than 5000 reais + import taxes + shipping = more or less 10 thousand reais (Brazilian currency), a Brazilian's salary is around 1800 per month, that is... it's more efficient to learn how to customize and make my own lol

accelerecce, you forgot one more part on the why, you see how acceleracers are all fantasy castings yet how collectors for some strange reason hate them (which seems hypocritical that besides the one from acceleracers they have hate for all others even the decent ones) also this part about acceleracers fans not doing any of the stuff you mentioned, i'm one of those who does some of the stuff like going on hunts, literally doing their best pick all the variation of the cars which were an acceleracer (i'm a big fan of covelight which hasnt had a mainline variation since 2015)
