I REMEMBER The first time we went to a club 19yrs ago (Xclub Toronto/Mississauga). We sat in the car outside the for 2hrs shittin' our pants trying to build up the nerve to go in...after all, we were about to enter a freaky deviant sex fest. When we finally did go in we realized it was nothing like that and was just like any other dance club you might have went to in your 20's to party. Simply put, they're just like any other club for meeting people, dancing, socializing and having a great time with the added bonus that the people there are like minded exploring the same ideas as you.

We recommend you if you are attending any event and are nervous, take a look at the events website to see if they have a dress code, tips and tricks on first time visitors, or if there are any reviews from other's experiences that can help calm your nerves. If you have friends in the lifestyle, we recommend going with them to help you feel less overwhelmed with meeting new people.

How about the white elephant in the room that no one ever talks about: STDs. I know that there is a lot of unprotected sex going on in the swinging community. Shouldn't protection be mandatory and strictly enforced at all swinging events?

Use protection and get tested.

@@kbanghart spoken like a person that has never participated in the lifestyle. If you did, you will see that thr majority of people are not using protection.

I really don't care what the overall trend is for other people, I care about what me and my partner do. We use protection, and require others to do the same. If our participation in the lifestyle increases beyond what it is now, we will also require proof of testing.

@@kbanghart if you and your partner use protection and require others to do so, that's great. But let's not pretend that you are the norm in this lifestyle. There's a small minority in the lifestyle that are as cautious as you are. Plus, using protection is not a 100% guarantee either. The closest you can come to being 100% safe is to be 100% monogamous.

@@miamiman196 of course, when you've been in a relationship for a while, and hopefully neither partner is cheating. But single people who date have the exact same risks. Many of those people don't take precautions either. Also, the swing or polyamory community, whatever it is you want to talk about is not a completely homogeneous population, either. Groups of people or clubs have different rules and some are more stringent on testing.

You would need to check each club individually to see whether or not single men are invited to attend. I know for our club coletteclubs.com you have to fill out an application before attending. Once approval is received you can attend the club on specific nights.

@@openlove101 I find that funny, pretty much no single men allowed without being screened but single women come on down. I saw a video from you guys that said the lifestyle was not just about sex. But I think this proves it is. You need and want the so called unicorn but single men can pound sand. I also now understand why you defend the the lifestyle so vehemently its also you business. I think people should be able to do as they please if this lifestyle is what you want go for it. My wife wanted to open our relationship, we are now divorced

Being underweight is not good specially after 50s even for some even after 40s, it make one look older. As we age, our skin start to thin so we need that fat.
