Which is also a throwback to the first season and James' Victibell chomping on his head at any opportunity.

This is a really cool idea! Another idea adding into this, try it with 4 people and duo's - the people who's submissions fall in 4th place get the debuff and 1st gets a buff while 2 and 3 are normal (or buff 2 and debuff 3). This could make for some cool team combinations and some teams being debuffed and some buffed

Here's the idea for "then we battle": You have 3 random starters and both players roll a dice (d20) Whoever get higher number get to choose the starter they want first (from the 3 present). The other person will have to choose from the remaining 2 pokemon. Abilities will be randomized BUT if you roll 1 then you get one of the punishment (you are allowed to choose the punishment for yourself, but they can't repeat themself if you happen to be unlucky and roll 1 more then once): 1. Your pokemon will have Klutz as the ability 2. Your pokemon will have 0 IV's 3. Your pokemon will have Lagging Tail as held item and you cannot use Trick, Fling, Switcheroo or any other way of removing it (the enemy might Knock Off on you but you are not allowed to remove the item yourself) 4. Your pokemon will have 3 moves only 5. You don't get your pokemon of choice. Instead the other player chooses it for you and that player can decide to select from the next 3 starter options instead if the present ones are too good. 6. Your pokemon is going to be mid-stage. If there's no such possibility with present options, reset the game for next starters to show up and choose the one that can have mid-stage evolution. Also if you roll nat20 then you get to choose the ability you want AND 1 illegal move. If you want you can choose from more then 6 set of starters and allow yourself the option to choose from, say 8 pokemon. It's up to your preference but i'd love some dice rolls game happening.

This would be a great Doubles Match Idea. One team mate is the catcher and the other has to guess which mon wins the poll. If the Catcher gets the highest ranking mon, they get to choose a buff for their team or a nerf for the other. If the guesser gets the right answer, they can choose which mon is added to the team (Koridaon could be added, despite losing the poll).

Suggestion for the next time you do this: If *all* of your submissions beat *all* of your opponent's submissions, you get to choose your mon's ability. Not only would that be an additional reward for anyone who does *really* well with their selection, it would also add another layer of strategy. If you submit three pokemon, now, you have better chances that *one* of your mons will be the top pick, making it less likely that you'll get a debuff. But if you want to choose its ability, you need *three* mons that do great on the poll, not just one. If you submit only one mon, of course, you need to pick *very* well for your only pokemon to be the one that gets the most votes. So there is a pretty high risk of getting debuffed. But if it actually wins, you can *automatically* choose its ability as well. You can basically play "high risk, high reward" if you're really confident in your pick, or choose a less risky approach if you aren't *that* sure one specific mon will win, to at least mitigate the risk of a debuff
