10:22 fun fact: regardless of who shot the civilian, if the bank is in America, legally the robber is liable for the civ's death. Any damages inflicted to any parties by any parties, including bank security, police response, and the robbers themselves, can be counted as charges against any robbers taken into custody. The basic logic is "if they didn't go to the bank with the intent to commit crimes, nobody would have been put into a situation where the damages occurred, so since they did, it's all their fault."

@@imready450 I'unno, did you go with the intent to commit crimes, and then in the pursuing of committing said crimes or other crimes of opportunity, harm or kill anyone, or through negligence knowingly create situations in which others _could_ be harmed or killed? If so, then probably yeah, you should've stayed home instead of rob a bank, not the greatest use of your day. However, if you were just going to a bank to commit a victimless crime like loitering or something, and didn't cause any escalations of the situation, and like, a security guard tripped and got a concussion while asking you to leave, you're probably good? That seems like an Act of God, not something that can really be blamed on you. The other extremely unlikely fringe consideration I can think of is if you rolled up to the bank with intent to rob it only to discover the bank already under the procession of being robbed, and then an injury or death occuring (to anyone really, this situation is an absolute cluster), and you end up detained, with your weapon and evidence of clear mens rea (intent to commit crime), but you never even had a chance to use your weapon, I have *absolutely no clue* how crimes could be assigned. At a guess, if the other robber is alive, they're taking the major charges and you can probably swing a sentence of "Intent to commit Bank Theft," probably by a fancier name like Grand Larceny or Grand Theft, I'm not gonna scrub the conditions of the crimes to check, but the point is you only *wanted* to do crimes, but thanks to that stupid other jerk you didn't *get to* do crimes, so you should only be eligible for trying to and failing. If the other robber died and a cop got injured, you're done. Ain't no court in America that's gonna lean in your favor, because *someone* is taking the public fall for this, and the other guy is dead. Retribution is a hell of a drug. Lastly just to cover all the bases, if you went to the bank with intent to do bank stuff that is legal and not criminal because it is legal, then nah, that wasn't your fault, don't feel bad about it. It was that yelling guy with the gun, he did it.
