I discovered a fun "feature" today. If you watch Poddy C at x1.15+ Dratnos starts to turn into a twitchy crackhead and Max and Dorki talk completely normal. I was legit concerned Dratnos was on drugs for a sec. Then realized I forgot to change the playback speed from a previous video. Now I'm curse with the knowledge that Max and Dorki sound like Eeyore when they talk unless they get excited.

Regarding another achievement at 626: it should be at 632 and 639, honestly. And Hero track should go to 632 (8/8, same as all the other tracks). Hero was initially squished because there was no Myth track and you needed to have value from mythic loot over just some free upgrades, then Myth was added at 4/4 because that was the max. When they stretched Myth they should have stretched Hero as well, and then 8/8 hero (632) would be the natural spot for a Harbinger achievement, just like there's one for 8/8 champion, 8/8 veteran and 8/8 adventurer.

heyy! our "silken court transmog" post on r/wow got mentioned at 24:14 [i am roboto_jones]. sorry Dratnos, we didn't steal the idea from you. it was actually one of our shammy that said wouldn't it funny for the whole raid to be red vs blue mog. which turned into a mini rivalry whenever each side messes up a mechanic. personally I found that the mog does help, a cluster of blue folks very noticeable as a red player. its totally not necessary but adds heaps of fun to the prog.

As someone who’s played PoE since 2016, I can tell you what the majority of us keep playing for is funnily enough borrowed power. Essentially what a new league mechanic provides is that fresh economy reset but most importantly, a unique source of 5% power that just fixes your build without a lot of currency.

Dorki is the kind of player that wants to spam the endgame at max gear cap. To keep enjoying the game and develope muscle memory. As well as making minor improvements every session probably.

1) Do a weekly event to where all content gives a 25% bonus to stones and crests on a rotation 2) Once every two weeks, for 2000 stones, allow a re-roll of the Vault 3) Increase the crest discount to 50% account-wide for alts 4) for each crest character achievement unlocked, items of that appropriate tier drop at +1 upgrade per achievement. so if you have two characters with the runed crest achievement, all hero track pieces that drop 1/6 now drop at 3/6

Slightly different purposes I would guess. While they are both repetitive in nature, it can be for different reasons. In ARPGs, you repeat content for gear upgrades, finding builds for the best damage:survival ratio. It's the endless grind that keeps you going. In high M+, you repeat content for player skill. Gear becomes an afterthought, since you only get 1 potential upgrade per week. It's how you solve a problem as a group, how you as an individual player can improve to survive certain mechanics and help the team out to overcome the near impossible odds. Not saying you don't improve as a player in ARPGs, but that's not the main goal, it's about the character you're playing.

The endlessly chained content in ARPGs like maps is past the campaign but it takes a lot of time investment to get to it. They say it themselves they boost their characters to 70 then only level the last 10. Imagine if someone was new to WoW and you tell them about how great m+ is, just to preface with “well you gotta spend 25 hrs leveling in some of the most confusingly boring content of the game.

I forced myself through over 1000 hrs of poe 1 before I understood why i hated arpgs. You simply cant build memories from systems that are largely solo gameplay and the engine behind your progression is a heavy amount of gambling mixed with information research. I play wow mplus with friends, and i have a lot of good/bad memories. I do a wipe in rust and i have a lot of good/bad memories. But when i do a league in poe i get nothing, i didnt solve anything in a unique way that someone with 10k hrs didnt do before me and i didnt do anything silly or inspirational with friends that sticks in my mind

it´s the same for me i think. M+ the progress you make is yourself and the group, it´s all about the gameplay. ARPGs for me is just the polar opposite in that the gameplay doesn´t change, you don´t really get better, you just get better gear. And gear sucks the life out of me. Probably why i enjoyed this saison so much less then the last two.

for the missives, just have it like it is now (you choose the 2 stats) but also add a slider you as the player placing the order can adjust to give you the particular weight of the stats. make it range from 20/80 to 80/20 or something so you cant just dump all into one (if that would even be as issue, i dont see it being an issue tbh realistically because of the deminishing return on secondary stats). at the very minimum let us do this for rings and necks, that would be dope!

I still think you have to remove some of the complexity for the long term health of the game. If you need a 3 month stacking buff to eliminate enough complexity via thruput there is a problem and it's the reason why bottom 50% mythic guilds have just been getting absolutely farmed by the roster boss

Dorki is cooking with the 626 achieve idea. I think personally it should work the opposite of current. Outgrowing the previous tier of crests should discount the next track for that character and discount the tier you outgrew for alts personally

On the topic of embellishments, I'd love to see some iteration on them, make them better/more interesting and buff all the non weapon ones. Crafting weapons for alts seems fine, but on your main, yeah, a little weird.

Pretty refreshing to hear the PoE 2 takes, personally I can align with Dratnos. There just isn't enough loot to get over the hurdles and at other times you're completely fine, it's very strange pacing. Currently quit at act 3 on my level 40 merc because the vendors are not giving me anything to work with and loot barely drops, basically hardstuck because the boss just one shots me and whilst I can outskill the boss, it isn't fun fighting for your life for 5 minutes because of poor damage and a single mistake placing you back to square one.

I'm having the exact opposite problem with my merc! I used the crafting system, not the vendors, and made some crazy gear. But now the game got too boring just blasting zones and bosses with no real challenge made me stop midway through act 1 cruel. I wanna try out mapping and the new atlas, but i'm so bored I don't have the patience to get there

​@@Bambaboozledpoe1 and 2 are both difficult by proxy of information barrier, there's a good chance you could have created or purchased/created a decent weapon and/or used a skill combo you weren't aware of to totally wafflestomp every campaign boss but people generally get overwhelmed and give up before they can pinpoint what is wrong exactly. It's all information gated, the gameplay isn't that hard it's just knowing how to make items and which skill combos are good. I'd recommend to almost anyone to just find a trusted build creator in the community and follow their build cook until you understand the game more, as lame as that may sound it makes the game infinitely easier if your getting stuck.

It would be pretty dope if there was an NPC next to the vault that allowed us to lock in items that can drop from raid and m+ that have an increased chance of showing up in our vault lets say 10% and then every week it doesn't show up the chance of seeing it goes up by 15%. After 6 weeks of getting very unlucky you're 100% guaranteed to get it or it could show up earlier. Raid drops only appear after you kill the boss that drops it at that raid tier ofc cus that would be pretty broken for raid stuff

Hey! I have one thing about gearing I'm still unhappy with. To give context, my character will get harbinger of the gilded next week (have had it for 4 weeks or longer if we count 636) and I have CE already. The problem I have is, regardless of gilded crest availability, any alt I make now will heavily struggle to get any chase Myth track item or any Myth track item at a good enough pace to still be playable for M+ pushing this tier. Unless the guild specifically runs 16 mains and 4 alts to gear them, you won't have enough time to catch up on all of those vaults your main has done so far, and you'll be stuck at most with crafted 636 in all slots that allow it, with 626 trinkets. And no very rare items. The vaults on my main haven't been useful in 10 weeks (good RNG i know) but the vaults on my alt will not be dense enough..

In regards to alts and gearing, these changes are a good start, but what if you received an increase in crest acquisition on alts. Ex: If you have a character with achievement, all other characters get 1.25x crests. Not a huge change but instead of getting 10 crests for example, your alts get 12 as an extra catch up mechanic.

I think most title players would agree with dorki. We think that gearing is just a barrier in M+ and to unnecessarily time gate key pushing. Having to raid just to do m+ absolutely sucks too.

I would have to agree. I play strictly for the end game. Primarily for Mythic Plus. Nothing else interests me. I haven’t cared about the story in a very long time. Or quests. Or music. Or anything like that. And anything that slows my time down arbitrarily, is frustrating and makes me want to not play.

Hot take, every other week between catalyst charges you get a charge that will convert a piece of gear to the next track. So week 1 is catalyst charge to convert gear to tier, week 2 is upgrade charge to upgrade a peice of gear from heroic to mythic, then week 3 is back to tier upgrade, etc. etc. I am a m+ player, I don't generally enjoy raiding. We need alternative pathways to mythic gear to play M+ competitively without touching the raid.

@@sean6793 I would say gear progression is one of the many facets of end game. I would say there’s a lot of players who don’t care about gearing to the max item level. The whole M+ community is a small section of WoW and, as we all know, the top percent is even smaller than that section. Just because it has always been “the thing to do” doesn’t mean Blizzard can’t improve upon or make it more efficient. The pace of gearing arbitrarily lengthens a season and slows down key progression. Personally, I wish we had shorter seasons with the expansion dungeons rotating per reset. Have the seasons last 3 months. See how far we all get on the leader boards. When a new season starts, your M+ gear is reset to a new number and you push, etc. I would imagine I’d be in the minority with a total systems change like that, but the fast paced, variety of dungeons, gearing, etc. , would make me play more and swap classes more for the experience. While I am used to long seasons and how it used to be, that’s not the topic here. I find it slow and boring to have such a long season with the exact same dungeon pool, especially when the dungeons are sub par.

Next change to use your powers on: rare chance to high roll your end of dungeon loot to next track. So you could very rarely high roll a myth track item when it would normally be hero track. This would be further incentive to complete a key and give m+ only players at least a chance at more than one piece of myth track a week. Side note: the cap is really the problem with valorstones, I spend weeks at the cap and then suddenly I'm starved for them.

The 626 achiev is not a bad idea, but i think the main issue is that max champion is hero 4/6 and max hero is myth 2/6. The gap from hero to myth is too big. You can achiev runed arbinger with only champion track items.

The systems in Last Epoch are pretty cool but the main thing that bothers me is how the spell effects look. There's no illusion that they are 3D they are just clearly 2D textures and effects slapped on the a 3D world and its pretty jarring imo. I was kinda surprised by how by how similar the gearing is between the 2 games even though the gameplay is very different.

Difficulty in PoE2 is really weird. Acts 1-3 feel fair, but you outscale all content when get to cruel and start facerolling everything. Maps have strange scaling where T15s don't feel that much harder than T8s so most of late game is mindless until you get obliterated trying to do ultimatum.

Dratnos on the stealth nerf for people who did not understand: If you had a character with a weapon, ring, and two embellished items - 360 crests Now it is 240. Therefore over the course of the season you get 120 more toward other items. Also the comfortable crest farming key level is 11 because 12 affix is complete ass.

Max, you need to understand that POE2 hasnt "landed" yet. Its an early access. Half the classes arent in there, they are making tons of adjustments, tons of skills arent available etc. They have said that they want to make it a slower more methodical game than POE1. But what exactly the game is going to be we dont know for 6 months. These 6 months are a beta made to figure out what needs to be changed.

I'm with Max. PoE just doesn't appeal to me. Technically, there is nothing wrong with it. It's an excellent game with excellent devs. But I can play hundreds of hours of Diablo 4, whereas I can't be bothered to play PoE at all. And this is with the FULL AND HONEST KNOWLEDGE that PoE is simply the BETTER GAME than Diablo 4, and it's not even close. And yet, something about my preferences in games shows me that I just... can't be bothered with PoE. Sorry GGG, but I just don't feel drawn to the game you've created (both poe and poe 2). Thought it was cool that Max described his own experience with this same phenomenon.

@maximum you are very correct about hot coffee. Also been proven that putting a couple of small ice cubes or cold water in a hot Americano/black coffee/filter it improves the taste. Also if you drink milk based like latte or cappuccinos and it's scolding hot enough to burn your tongue or palate the it's made wrong. All hot drinks should be served in a way where you can insta drink it. Even little double espressos. If they burn the top of your mouth then the grind size is too coarse and the water flows too quickly through the coffee puck and you're just drinking painted and slightly flavoured water, not actual coffee. Source: me 20 plus years on making all sorts of coffee in 3 different countries.

There are few moments during the fight where you can run into each other (mainly if someone does something stiupid but still 150 pulls in over half of wipes are beacuse people ran into each other) ... but how many of these could be prevented if we all had coloured transmogs...probably not many, and mirror images of the mages (that accualy so far caused 2 wipes, cuz they somehow got confused with the mage) could cause some if we started recognizing groups by transmogs

37:00 honestly I kind of agree. I love the bosses in POE 2. But I don't think I like the rest. I feel like I'm spending to long getting to the bosses.

I just wish D4 hadnt gone down the MMO path. It's just so hard to play when you log in and are literally the only toon in a zone....
