We pressed our own Rapeseed Oil!

This is a video featuring how rapeseed oil is made, here in rural China. In my husband's hometown, a village in Qinghai province, most people grow their own rapeseed flowers and are self-sustainable when it comes to vegetable oil and wheat flour. This is something I previously imagined being very difficult, I always imagined being self-sustainable in vegetables was easy, but wheat and oil? I did not imagine how it could work. But it does! The community, and access to mills targeting household farms, is the key.
