Don't underestimate the need for a heat shield on the muffler for sure, if not all the surrounding pipe. The radiated heat can cook things at a fair distance. The concern is that after a hard run, the heat may melt the rear body assembly. If you don't need the OEM heat shield, consider modifying it to cover as much of the assembly as possible.

I used to make my exhaust systems because literally I couldn't afford to buy the good ones, what I would do though is copy the design of ones that were proven to make horse power, I generally would benefit from the millions in dollars of research companies do without all the drawback of building systems that don't work, now even though I have the resources to buy top quality parts I find I like building certain things myself, mainly because you can customize the project to your exact needs.

Wow, that is crazy Emelia. So cool. and your welds are good. ten times better than mine. I have been a little obsessed with my 2024 Bronco exhaust. I've done a lot to the vehicle already. including a Corsa dual exhaust which does make it sound a lot better and gives it a little more HP. But I want louder and more crackling. Just not sure how to achieve that. But it turns heads everywhere I go. I would totally let you create a custom Emelia Hartford Exhaust for it. That would be so cool. It's a 2 door. I put the Rough Country 3" suspension lift, Beefier A arms and everything under there. Roush cold air intake. 35" tires. I custom painted the wheels and calipers Orange and the Body is Azure Grey. Looks so good. Please do it. lol. That would be amazing.
