I think the 40% brake pressure was when he was doing the test beforehand. Pretty sure in the actual corner the whole body sinking into the pedal did a lot more than 40

@@Zwodo No. The engineer was looking at the actual data from his lap and complimented him for hitting 40% brake pressure. It was from one of his actual laps.

Well yeah if you hit anywhere close to 100% it will lock up. His comments about "only 40%!?" Fidnt really make any sense.

@@MrCharlan1 I'm not missing the point. It is essentially physically impossible to go far beyond 50% brake pressure. No matter how hard you try. It's not like if you put a bodybuilder in there and asked him to slam the brakes as hard as possible he would achieve even 70% brake pressure. It doesn't make any sense.

I have huge respect for F1 drivers. Some people might assume it's just like driving a car but the amount of force their bodies have to endure is humongous. You gotta be in incredible physical shape to be a F1 driver

If you ever to get the chance to get into an F1 car, I seriously recommend neck training even in the couple of weeks before hand. Just a couple of sessions of weighted neck curls and your neck will be a lot safer from the g force. The way this man was telling this Tory was quite scary. When your head is bobbling over the place and you can’t control it, that’s not exactly fun

I once drove a 1991 AGS Cosworth F1 car. I can relate to what he’s saying. Full throttle in second gear was eye opening to say the least.

And the most interesting part about that story is, I am certain that he said that when he got back and they analyzed the telemetry, even though he was pushing with full force, here only applied about 50% of the breaking power that all F1 drivers apply on every corner on every lap on every race

I remember when they did a similar reconstruction of an F1 car just being driven by Richard Hammond and full throttle what he thought was full throttle was only using about 10-15% of the cars full potential. It’s amazing the amount of power they have
