If you put oil first, the meat wont receive the initial seasoning very well as the oil will prevent it from getting into the meat until after the oil is absorbed by the meat therefore if you season it first, there will be a much better crust of seasoning. Technically you shouldn’t even oil the steak, it would be the pan that gets the oil but since it’s going in the air fryer, it makes more sense to oil the steak after the seasoning is well adhered to the meat.

@@Thatsright-tr2ks Call me crazy but i like bottom round just as much as t-bone or prime rib, but that's just me. I dont think you have to fork out $20 bucks for a steak when you cant do just as good for $10. For me personally i use Texas Roadhouse steak seasoning and i love A-1 when i eat it, but with a good steak a little salt and pepper is sometimes all you need. Some people season steak to the point of actually taking away from the flavor of the meat itself. Some rub a little olive oil on each side and a little salt. A little garlic salt is good also. Some people use nothing at all. Wrapping in foil is a great way to keep it juicy and retain flavor. Let us know how it goes.

Weber Chicago steak seasoning is good. I like the Steak & Chop seasoning too,its not as overwhelming as the Chicago. Montreal steak seasoning is good too. I usually tenderize mine with one of those steaks tenderizes that pokes a buncha holes in steak. Meat tenderizer hammer works good too. Then I put the steak in a bag with the seasoning and shake it. Press the steak through the bag to press the seasoning into the steak. I make kebabs like that too. You can do that and put teriyaki sauce in the bag with the steak and let it sit for awhile too. That's pretty good also. If you leave it too long( over a day) I think it's too long.
