2023-24 DLo literally broke the Lakers all time record for 3 pointers in a single season while shooting about 42% from 3. He had a horrible playoff run, but the season itself was probably the best season from a starting point guard we have had since Nick Van Exel (outside of point forward LeBron)

Ngl they have the chance with that 2019-20 roster when they acquired AD. The problem is, after that, they made a lot, like A LOT of bad moves that literally doomed them. I'd put Russell Westbrook at B and put DLo on either A or B imo. I dont get it why people hate both of them so much. DLo is the best scoring PG they ever had since Fisher(jk). He just lacks consistency. Russ on the other hand, well he can make very stupid plays and yet he will still give his 100%. That's what I really admire about Westbrook, he may look stupid on one end, but still be looking like his old prime on another end. He also took an unusual role of coming off the bench and somehow it did worked for them. I'll also put 2020 Rondo on either A or S. He is a magician in playmaking and always making the right plays every possession he is in. The combination of two of the smartest players in the League being on the same team was one of their keys to success on 2020. Such a shame the Lakers never believed in continuity. Edit: Russ is not the only reason why the Lakers sucked on his stay there. They lack good role players on his first year at the Lakers. AD's bone at the time were made of glass and the chemistry was lackin.

If this tier list was purely based on talent, Russ would probably be B but since he ruined the Lakers so much, he deserves D or F. If Russ really gave his 100%, he should have been able to figure out a way on how he could have impacted the Lakers positively. His energy was great, but it was the only positive thing that he was able to give to the Lakers. D'lo on the other hand is also a good player but that lack of consistency along with his poor defense is what makes him a D-tier point guard. D'lo's skill set would make you think that he's a great fit next to Bron and AD, but for whatever reason, he hurts this Lakers team a lot instead of helping them.

I think Caruso and Bradley should be mentioned in the tier list but they played the 2 more than they played as a PG. I do want to add out that the Lakers with Russ lacked so much chemistry. There were games that you would think that they do have a good chemistry but then they mess up a lot.

It’s not so much blaming Russ but the front office. The fit was whack and they traded away contributors to get him, as well as handcuffing themselves financially. The product Russ put on the court wasn’t great either (mostly because of the fit, he was fine in a similar role on the Clippers)
