@@RealJoannaN Heyy there, I started replying but I think I had a call come through and didn’t finish my response. My son initially went to a private bilingual daycare here and more recently started at a private bilingual elementary school which actually goes all the way to high school. I am happy with both of my choices so far for my son. Within 3 months he was already speaking pretty good Spanish. In case you’re wondering, you can expect to pay 4000-10000 pesos/month for private daycare/school in this area. 10K pesos/month are about the priciest I’ve seen. There are also public schools but I don’t believe they are bilingual.

Good for you guy’s. I believe that was the best move for your family. My wife and I are taking steps to do the same, albeit at a later stage in life as I’m 55. Canada is dying in my opinion, from a tyrannical government to absurd laws. Our freedom is disappearing little by little. Our culture is being dismantled and family unity is disappearing. Mexico is the complete opposite. I’m very happy for you and your family. Have you considered the central highlands of Mexico?

Great quality video Paul. I watch the MLD channel and this was nice to see this lovely young couple filmed rather than filming. Having made a similar move to Mexico a few years ago, when Canadians became "difficult" to be around, I relate to their journey and wish that I had taken the step when I had a young family! I tried the beach for 6 months but couldn't function mentally with the heat and mosquitoes constantly when outside. The mountains in Mexico are like spring and summer all year round, and I can visit the playa when I can. I will say one small piece of advice about eating food here in México. I like tacos as much as they do, but there's a couple of things to be concerned about when eating them regularly, or when eating out in Mexico in general. First seed oils, especially heated, especially fried... DYOR. Second, tortillas, corn... It's good they use their own non GMO corn here in Mexico, but, there are chemicals in corn which deplete the body's ability to absorb nutrients... again DYOR... And, yes, I know it's the same thing in Canada, but, a lot of restaurants are at least aware of unhealthy processed oils and you can request olive or butter... Once those bad oils are in your body, they just cause havoc for decades, they're essentially plastic to our bodies... I'm not trying to be a no it all, on the contrary, I simply care about people and especially kids. I'm so hoping for their success!!

My advice for y'all is to go see Chapala Lake. There are a few little towns around the lake that they are beautiful. It is an hour from Guadalajara and there are a big Canadian and American communities. The airport is it 30 minutes driving. There are very good Bilingual schools and nice views.

No tengo ninguna problema porque vivan en Mexico , pero creo que para darle la bienvenida a extranjeros tienes que ser nativo mexicano o residente de el país

have you covered kids education? or can make another episode for families with kids? a big concern of the moving is what’s the quality of education there? hope you can cover elementary, the middle school and high school, how much does each phase of schooling cost there in Puerto Vallarta or Nayarit area? guess it’s all private international schools? (of course there are free public schools for local Mexican kids but probably all Spanish only? no American/Canadian parents would like a local public Spanish only school?)

I have seen other ones who moved to PV area with kids before K12 education age, till first year K12 education they moved back to States, probably didn´t have enough confidence with K12 education in México
