Both your parents must be very proud of you two. You are fantastic parents and amazing role models for any young couple aspiring to be the best that they can be. I am about your parents age and see the values of my youth in you two. It's a honour to have your family in our country and we are the better for it. Love to all of you from a silly old bugger with a tear in his eye. Love from NSW 🐨

My wife and I LOVE your You Tube videos !!! I will make you smile and tell you my wife's maiden name IS Wickman ..YES...Another Wickman ! She is one of seven children from Boonah (near Brisbane) ... What a co-incidence !!! Your videos are well produced and show the natural, easy way of life of Australians and Life in Australia which of course includes the beautiful scenery.....WELL DONE to you and CONGRATULATIONS on your excellent coverage which is amazing and true to life ....

2:05 In my opinion, those coolers are really only good for drier climates where the humidity is low. Being sub-tropical to tropical, they don't really work that well in QLD, which is why you never see houses with evaporative coolers there. Evaporative coolers just add moisture to already humid air.

Yes we do know that, the product does need less than 70% to work.

I have so many memories of the Mooloolaba and Kawana area. Point Cartwright has a right hander over reef that works on S-SE conditions. Near the rock where you were playing, the Kawana side of the point, we surfed the beachbreaks on N-NE days (always offshore somewhere). Best from Feb-May IMO. Keep having fun, I'm stoked you're all enjoying this beautiful part of the planet. ,

Glad you made it to Point Cartwright. I've rented different apartments in the towers right on the point many times for my family, and loved walking the rock ledges and swimming the calm waters of the river on the other side with my kids. Can't wait to see your next adventure back on the Gold Coast.

They are small, get in larger shells than you were picking up and cans. They like little rock pools and reefs. They are all around Australia. Very deadly. Look it up. @@TheWickmansLife2024

CAUTION: The shell you picked up at the 3.20 min mark looks like a cone shell. Cone shells have harpoon-like teeth that inject venom into their prey. A sting can cause intense pain, numbness, tingling, nausea, weakness, and difficulty moving, seeing, hearing, and speaking. Severe cases can result in death. They ca.n be difficult to tell if the creature is still inhabiting the shell so best left alone to be safe. Love your videos by the way
@TheWickmansLife20247 сағат бұрын
Dang we didnt think it was! Thats scary. Thank you for the support and comment!
@MarkRoberts-f1z5 сағат бұрын
Just to clarify. Cone shells don't exactly just crawl up on to the beach and sting people. They cant life out of water...the last recorded death in Australia was 1935...they are found in every ocean in the world so definitely not unique to Australia. CAUTION seems a bit excessive... Hey guys CAUTION watch out for cassowaries in the Daintree...😅😅😅😅. Settle down they know what they are doing.

@@TheWickmansLife2024 No worries. There's quite a few different types here and it looked similar to one of the species. It might not have been but always best to be a little cautious given their potent toxicity. I grew up on Victoria's south west coast (state of icy breaks) and as kids it was one of the earliest lessons we were taught.

@TheWickmansLife2024 unfortunately I don't know anyone, However I recon your best bet is to inquire with region specific tourism authorities ... similar to the folks who showed you Agnes Water / 1770 (im led to believe They run local tourism & own the marina).

We have the highest rates of skin cancer in the world with high UV ratings. Your children need to have hats with wide brims to protect them. Baseball ball caps do not protect your ears from cancer. As a nurse it is really important to protect your ears . No fun to have your ear out out later to remove cancer. Please read the UV index every day.

I love your videos, but please be careful if you are going to drive with an open laptop on your lap, Australia has some insane laws when it comes to driving, and would hate for you to cop a fine or lose your licence over a simple error of judgement.
