A longer platform doesn't necessarily mean longer dies are used with it. It means you have more space and can cut more dies at a time.

I use the cutting mats from sizzix on my evolution advance. You can also cut a regular cutting mat (like those used for cutting fabric) down to the right size and use that.

would that work for the mini evolution? Some of my dyes are too thick to cut because of the bulky mats

I bought mine directly from American Crafts. Free shipping and product was pristine.

Thank you for your video. I just purchased the Revolution on Ebay for a make an offer and I got for 63.00. I'm not sure I like the idea of ruining the magnetic platform with die impression marks. A replacement might be hard to find. I rather have press marks on the plastic plate, that is normal. I had the original Bug Shot for years and I ruined it using the Magic Mat! I was so upset. I can't find anything like the one I ruined. Oh by the way did you return this?

No, I kept this! I still use it for cutting. The embossing though kind of sucks, so I don't use that often.

I'm quite sure that Bira Craft makes this machine and you can get replacement mats on Amazon for the Bira Craft Magnetic machine

I don't like this machine as much as my evolution advance, based on videos I've watched. Except for the little tension knob on the side keeps popping off when I move. I can't find it so I can not change the tension setting on my machine, which is exactly why I use that machine more than any other one I have (I have at least 8 different die cutters). I love the ability to change the tension to get the right cut. The little tabs that hold the knob on, one of them broke off so I can't attach it securely. It stays on well and works fine usually, it just can't handle moving. I think the platform on that machine looks wider than the advance too.

I had the same problem, my box was damaged, my mat had butterfly’s printed my clear mat was also scuff and edges were damage, To me it seem like it was used and returned. The person who returned the machine, did not know how to use it. I was very lucky I was able to return to the store I ordered from and was able to get a new machine. I hope you were able to get a new one

I watched a video before this by we r mk and they used a different top mat for the embossing folder. It was soft and thin.

I bought a mini one first, but too small for most of stuff, so I returned it, my third purchase too! lol It's probably return item, sometimes Amazon sells "off market" stuff..

Bonjour, il y a une chose ou je suis très déçue, les plioirs de gaufrage de la marque Stampin'Up ne rentrent absolument pas dans la machine !

Isn't the bigshot discontinuing' that's what's Google says 🤗
@NYCGalOut4 жыл бұрын
Really!? I didn't know that, why are they discontinuing it, it's such a popular brand though. I'll have to look it up on Google.

@@NYCGalOut the big shot may be popular, but they aren't the best. I've had several big shots from the earliest to the Foldaway, and I don't find they last. So I've moved away from Sizzix completely and I use the WRMK Evolution (white) and Spellbinders Platinum. Both are serving me well, no hiccups, no running dies through 2 or 3 times for a good cut, and no shims! See if you can find someone who will let you have a test run on a Platinum (that's the big one - but the Platinum 6 is probably just as good).
