We RACED a Polestar 2 against a BULLET TRAIN // CHINA DRIVER

On a wet sunday morning, me and my friend Tim Chambers set off to test the Polestar 2 performance version - to see if it could beat the bullet train on a race to Hangzhou. Find out who wins in this first episode of its kind for China Driver.

For someone who just placed an order on the Polestar 2 (exactly the same color spec actually) and watched way too much TopGear, I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it. It's very nice to see this type of race that was filmed in China, feeling wayyy more familiar comparing to the old TG races in Europe. Just one question regarding the car, does the ride feels overly harsh on the motorway? I've tested in the urban environment in Beijing and found it firm in an acceptable way. This is a fabulous video, I also can see the great amount of work and careful editing going into this. Keep up the great work, looking forward to your next video!

Thanks - and you have a great choice in cars - I hope you enjoy the new car! On the highway it wasn't too firm - within acceptable limits, and after the two hour drive I didn't feel uncomfortable. The seats are great.

only 1 minute delay. amazing. on amtrak, you're lucky if your train doesn't derail, luckier still, if you're not onboard when it inevitably does derail.

If the destination is Suzhou, maybe driving will be faster. But Hangzhou has a long distance, so public transport may be faster. If the distance was longer, public transport (high-speed rail) would be more advantageous.

Public transit is always the winner in this type of preplanned A to B race. Had you made multiple stops here and there, buy groceries, meet up with friends, go to the cinema, work out at the gym, etc... the car would have won by a wide margin.
