I'm Brazilian and I'm here watching this video even though I don't know any English, I even wrote this comment through the google translator. But I'm here the same way, because although I don't know how to speak English, I know how to speak the musical language that is what makes me watch your videos.

Do you find any difference in the actual pedals vs the FX in the AXEFXIII??The reason I ask,is I am a new owner of a Fractal, and I hooked up my plain old Reverb pedal the other day,and the pedal just sounded more alive...I haven’t mastered dialing in stuff on the Axe,so it could be that....just wondering your take on it?

I learned how to easily use my condenser mic in my axe fx iii while I play guitar. It is powered using a external power supply that has a normal line out. I can do a bunch of cool things to the vocals alone while having a good guitar tone with it never fighting each other. But usually just a gate and compressor on the vocals. I normally do that so I don't need to change much to do a simple zoom call. Or I can use the pitch block to get that cool cynic vocal effect. It technically does auto tune. Also the vocoder block becomes useful. I just never liked that tone. That thing is def nuts. Especially when they do an upgrade and all the tones can sudden use this super nice quality cab sim.

What is that «swirling, texture»-like sound on the ambient swells?

Good video! If I would like to connect a tube preamp pedal to my Axe-Fx II XL+, so the chain will be the following: my guitar - to input of the tube preamp pedal - output of the tube preamp pedal - to Input 2 (Fx return). In the Axe Edit I will need to insert the Fx Loop block in front of the amp block? Is that the right way?

I’m running digital to my Apollo So those front knobs don’t do anything How can I loop a stomp in and out of a channel and hear it in my Apollo spdif?

Hey Brian, can the FM3 do stereo too? I know it won’t do stereo amps but if I run my pedalboard out stereo to the input 1/2 of the FM3 and use one amp, then maybe two cabs? Or is that a no go?

fm9 will be able to emulate well the effects of the Timeline, bigsky and pog 2? I'm thinking of selling them to pay for an FM9

Disagree some there Brian. I’ve done wet effects in front with the regular helix (specifically for “The Way”) and also very effective now with my board in front of the stomp. I prefer stomp and that’s why I went to that. It’s actually the typical worship guitar sound really. Most guys aren’t running their wet effects from boards into fx loops. I’ve mentioned before and have always thought y’all should make a patch that has all the wet effects in front. Sure the polished thing with wet effects after sounds clearer but it’s the sound I just didn’t like in worship stuff really. I love it when it’s a certain type of song (blues or rock) where I don’t want some of that awesome weirdness that happens and with that I have 95% of my presets basically just the amp and an EQ. The other 5% when I want the cleaner wet effects after, I use the helix effects only and my midi pedal switches off the DD500 and BigSky. That works for me. That Elliott sounds great!

I should have clarified - I was specifically referring to putting reverb and delay models in front of the amps inside of a Helix patch - meaning using the Helix wet effects. I do think Helix /Stomp handles running pedals in front of amps really well. But while editing I was thinking that I probably just didn’t spend enough time with it - I think helix would do wet effects in front of the amp just fine If I spent more time dailing it in. 👍🏻

Worship Tutorials Yeah I’m sure. I guess my point is it seems everyone runs helix patches with wet stuff after the amps and it sound good but many like Bradford like them before and me too. I guess cause that’s how pedalboards are usually run in front. I’ve done it on the main helix unit on the song “The Way” as it has a part using the neck pickup you’d only get that sound with effects all in front. It can be done. It’ll do those cool things y’all mentioned. 👍

Fishman Guitar running wet effects before amps in Helix gets weird and just doesn’t sound as good. We tried and weren’t getting something we liked out of it. And it limits your DSP because the way you do everything is double once you start the stereo chain haha
