Dylan and I randomized our starter pokemon in Scarlet and Violet but theres a twist! We wont be able to see our starters! We will be choosing our starters by only knowing their abilities!! IDEA: choose your pokemon based on a weird criteria, but then swap teams. A 3rd party obviously has to be involved, since the twist of swapping teams will influence your choices too much.

Love your content, I feel like a good dynamic would be position locking, like making the other choose the same side you chose, like if you chose ledt now the other is forced to take the left regardless of the pokemon, and from there you only have to take turns until you form a full team

Tobin you had to attack there at the end and hope to 1 shot everything +2! Psyshield bash giving Wyrdeer a def boost everytime makes roosting there pointless and you were -1 def so wyrdeer always won that interaction. Still fun match to watch ans interesting with the random abilities.

Use a deck of UNO cards with only the cards 1, 2, 3, skip, reverse and wilds. The numbers pick which of the 3 starters, skip skips that group that loaded, reverse makes your opponent draw a card and their result gives them the pokemon and wild lets you pick which pokemon and ability. Get 10 choose 6!

Pure power-slacking is fun. Emerald randomizer, Got slackoth with frisk as my starter, but Slacking had PURE POWER! I was mopping up the game. (Just a refresh, Slacking has 160 atk. pure power doubles that to 320, 200 more than ARCEUS. He can learn strength (BP 80, and STAB.) My other two starters were okay, but i know that slacking stats are beast, and without Truant he is OP. (His BST is 670. 14 pokemon are above him, all are big boi legendss and only 2 existed in emerald (Rayquaza and Mewtwo) however with pure power making his atk stat double, his new BST is 830, higher than the highest stat total in teh game (Arceus, at 720) So slacking is dummy busted. I caught a second one midgame. (Vigroth, which i evolved quickly) ghost was a problem though. But one learned shadow ball (Physical attack in gen 3, so that 320 atk was putting in work) Plus 100 speed is nothing to scoff at.

Y’all sleepin’ on Espathra. Opportunist is great for Tera Raids, and a Clear Amulet helps your stats stay high. I don’t remember if the Clear Amulet blocks the negation thing, though. Edit: Forgot to mention Lumina Crash, it’s signature move. 90 base power and harshly lowers opponent’s Sp.Def
