Hi guys, my daughter has just bought a transit custom WAV ( wheelchair access vehicle. ) it's set up with all the seats removed from the rear, plus you get a fold away ramp to get the bike in (two bikes). I believe the advantage of this is you dont get the same vehicle charges as a commercial van. Ie the the road tax and insurance should be cheaper and the congestion charges are less. She uses it for chomping/motorbike trips, plus it's her daily drive.
@TinsonTour4 күн бұрын
Yeah whichever van we get will be getting registered as a camper before it goes on the road can't wait

Faye and Shaun...? errr, I think i've heard those names somewhere before 🤔? Oh, of course I have, I remember now, it's Tins on Tour! Hiya, and welcome back. First up, an enormous pat on the back. You've synced up your mics so well and the sound/tone is spot on now with this Moman set up, well done. Just goes to show, that the big names(and prices) are not always the best, although, having said that, i'm well pleased with my Cardo! Bad to hear of your "little" finger, giving you "big" problems... still, but good to see ya out 'n about again.

Hi Shaun + Faye, good to see you both, hope all is well. I was thinking how you were getting on with your finger and your eye. I was surprised you had to hold back your operation till the new year as Christmas is a busy time and you might lose your bonus and this happened to you at work , not fair mate. Good to see you out and about on the bikes, the roads are not the best this time of year wet and greasy. As always good to see you, Merry Christmas Take care

HI Guys good to see you back. Re: the Aoocci units, I have a C5 Pro, 5 inch unit fitted to my Honda Blackbird and have just bought a C6 Pro for my BMW K1600. Compared to the leading brand, Chigee, they are significantly cheaper and seem to do as good a job. So if they offer you one I would take it. Cheers

Late to the party with heated gloves... Me too. The last time I used heated gloves was when I was a dispatch rider in London 40 years ago. Haven't used them since then! I started using heated gloves again about a month ago and they are great. _Not allowed to use heated grips and heated gloves at the same time is a load of boll__#cks_ . You do need the heated grips as most heated gloves only heat the back of your hands and the backs of your fingers otherwise your hands will be cold (as you will find out when it's _brass monkeys_ out). *You just need to be sensible about the temperature settings* otherwise you can burn your hands. I tend to use the heated grips on 1 bar and the gloves on 2 bars when it's below about 3°C. I've never had the gloves on 3 bars (max) except for testing them and rarely have had the heated grips on max either (too bloody hot). Good luck with your finger in January.
@TinsonTour6 күн бұрын
Hope that is true as loads of posts saying heated grips feck the goretex up from the outside but then few posts saying they've not had a prob... my 1st time so was being safe rather than sorry
@riderramblings6 күн бұрын
@@TinsonTour Goretex can be a real pain in some situations, like heated gloves. The problem is Goretex works by the body side being warmer than the outside. So if the outside is warmer then I guess moisture can pass the "wrong" way. I've been using Goretex gloves for well over 10 years with heated grips no bother what-so-ever. Just keep the temperature low.

Look forward to the glove review, I've just bought the Aoochii 9 with the front and rear camera set up. Looks well made and solid construction. Not sure about a day camper as daily transport for Work Shaun as it might be classed as commercial for the bridge crossing.
@TinsonTour6 күн бұрын
Already looked into the crossing still classed as a car weight wise ... no interest in cameras as i got them with my set up but not installed as only use it for maps ... decisions decisions
@mikejacks19396 күн бұрын
@@TinsonTour yes the original review I saw on Missenden flyer was for the basic set up but when i looked at other reviews discovered the version with the cameras for not much more so it was a no brainer for me. surprised about the bridge toll, robbing bar stewards are putting prices up again and there was us being told it would be free when the build costs were repaid.

Good to see you are both OK (cept the pinkie) (don't really do social media) My Dad took the top of his middle finger off, and they popped it back on back in the 50's/60's probably?? He used to have all the problems you mention. He said it was 'next to useless' as he had no feeling in it till beyond the first knuckle joint. Not for a minute suggesting this as any kind of a solution for you, but he sometimes said he wished they hadn't put it back on. 😲
@TinsonTour6 күн бұрын
Yeah i feel exactly the same although they didn't reattach mine but wish I'd of had it took off further down as it's been more trouble trying to save as much
@diegocella67916 күн бұрын
Good to see you back, the finger story was something... (i do have some aversion to medical stuff... but good to know!), on the heated gloves and heated grips i've never heard something like that and never had any problem, i use Gerbing for years (12V gets more heat and you can connect it straight to the battery) and it's more than enough for 99% of the time, but i did get a little boos form the grip when it's really cold... but as i said, no problemo.
@TinsonTour6 күн бұрын
Apparently most brands say heated grips can damage the goretex from the outside.. mite just be laminated gloves but just being safe for now
