In this episode we dive into personality types and love languages, the differences in how we give and receive love and how they can help your relationships!
PLEASE keep in mind, these tests are not DEFINING, rather informative. They should help you improve, not bind you to a "type". Your personality can change. These tests should not be used to predict your future, relationship compatibility or what path you should take. Especially for Christians, please don't make your "type" an idol or look to it for guidance. Take the information with a grain of salt! It's not 100% fact, it's based on how you see yourself and helpful in understanding how you and others can improve!
Tests we've taken and recommend:
The 5 Love Languages test www.5lovelangua...
Myer's Briggs 16 Personalities test www.16personal...
Enneagram www.truity.com

I absolutely agree with Cam about the power of words and being intentional with HOW it is said. I love criticism, growth is always present. BUT harsh criticism/passive aggression in my opinion is led with judgement, not care. So it comes of patronizing and adds to feelings of inadequacy. I really loved this conversation it’s important in all relationships like y’all said, not just romantic ones.

What you said Vicky resonates with me that in relationships we need to change our perspective to how can we serve one another instead of what I’m getting out of this! I’m still learning how to do this but it is definitely a game changer💓

Just because you can pay for something, doesn't mean you can afford it. There's a difference between the 2 I learnt that a few years ago. Loved the car analogy btw Cameron! I can honestly say that since I got saved, I have come to learn that when it comes to friendship relationships, quality beats quantity. I am in healthier and better friendships now that I have ever been. They don't bring me any stress or drama. Thank God. Keep these videos coming fam, we love them.

Watched the video halfway last week and👍🏾. Just finished watching this morning. I’m 48 and have been divorced for 11 years now. These conversations are helping to prepare me for the next marriage. I’m very familiar with the scriptural aspect of these conversations but it’s nice to hear examples of how scriptures are being applied. I’m also sharing your videos with my 28 year old son who’s not yet married. Keep up the good work and I’m looking forward to the next one.

I took the love language test and I broke it lol. The test told me I didn’t have a definitive language but I probably take a mix of everything. Vicky you introduced me to take the test (love language exactly) and I was like Cam.....not a touchy feely person (maybe I'll get there one day lol) 3. y'all always preaching #minibiblestudy! thank youuu! but i agree that it is all in your delivery! 4. when I'm at work I come off mean/standoff-ish don't really say/speak as much and I'm like because this isn't the time or place for allat ya know lol....but when I'm home with people I'm comfortable with I'm totally different but that's how it should be (its levels to it basically) and as usual THANK YOU GUYSS FOR ALL OF THISSS CONTENT KEEP'EM COMING!

People usually tell me “I thought you were real stuck up, but you’re actually cool!” 😂 Every time Vicky speaks she describes me. So, I took the personality test and got the same one as Vicky, and I was not surprised at all. She had me at “I’ll wait in the car” and that was it. 😂😂

The dealing with conflict was real. I am Vicky, give it to me straight. I can take it. Get to it. Give me the uncut version. And for a long time, it annoyed me that people couldn’t take the uncut truth, it bothered me that sometimes people needed words to be well crafted to be received well. It used to drive me nuts. Reason being bc the world is not going to always be gracious and sugar coated so I assumed they needed the truth from here, so they won’t be hurt out there. But I’m realizing even more so they need that in their safe spaces, grace. Like Vicky said intentionality doesn’t take away how people feel. But woo my eyes have been opened, thanks for learning Vicky so that I’m now learning to be gracious with the ways others deal with things. I had to go text my friend

Hello, I am a 27-year-old single female and I want to know if you have any suggestions or advice for how I can change my mindset towards marriage? I currently see marriage as something that people just fall into or an unequal partnership that people feel trapped into or that they need. I know these views stem from not having a positive example of any marriage in my life so I don’t want to continue in this mindset because I would like to experience it if it is for me. Thanks in advance.

When I did my research on it the roots weren’t entirely clear. But just in case it is, we gave plenty other options for personality tests. Like we said in the podcast the tests are based on self assessment, so we shouldn’t be getting our identity from it anyway.
