Better than all other Billionaires combined. No one should go hungry, no one should be homeless. Everyone deserves decent living conditions. Lot of charity organizations in US like Susan Komen G are swindling money from the donations than doing actual charity. In fact John Oliver did some segment on this kind of fake charity including manufactured homes where Warren Buffett has stakes in it😂. No wonder the rich has been getting richer and the middle class and the poor getting poorer in the last 2 decade. I used to donate $ 2-5 in all shops where they beg for diabetes, AHA, ACS etc but not anymore. Look at our health system. Its completely screwed up. We have been holding the obesity champion title for years. Its all because of these fake orgs and medical industries incl doctors. Again Oliver did a segment on the patient(meat/prey) surrounded by predators doctos/pharmas/insurance comp/hospitals who all want to have a piece of that meat.

Instead, he just does what he wants, nobody can tell him to stop, he doesn't have to wait for the senate approval, or the house, or some committee. He just goes out and does it. I agree on that. Wasn't it Kurzgesagt that made a video talking about Egoistic Altruism or something like that? Like, if people do something truly good for others, even if it comes from a place of egoism, we should commend that as long as what they are doing is genuinely good. I'll be clear and say that I don't think Mr Beast is doing it for the clout or sponsor money, he has done a lot of really big philanthropy and moving all the ad revenue from that to even more philanthropy, but even if he were, as long as it is being done right and helping people, no one should hate on that. Literally, if the internet was able to make philanthropy and genuinely helping others (not fake helping, true helping) into the most popular and profitable by views thing on the internet and motivate all the empty clout chasers into genuinely helping others, even if the people helping were to be empty clout chasers, they would still be doing good, right?

I used to work in a grocery store where we would throw away hundreds of pounds of produce and produce related products a day that were either “expired”, almost expired, or slightly too ripe, but still perfectly edible. It always bothered me that there wasn’t a system in place to do exactly what you guys are doing and it warms my soul to see the impact you guys are having. I think an issue that’s always been there is if it is borderline going bad, or some in the batch that’s all being tossed, getting it sorted and out organized VERY FAST. Produce doesn’t last long once it’s turning the corner.

A lot of stuff like lettuce packages and juices that have an expiration date could definitely last a lot longer than when the stores trash them though. For those items I think the policy was to get rid of them two days before the expiration date which always seemed wasteful.

This video hits close to home as I did a gleaning internship in college where we rescued leftover food to bring to food banks. It’s such an amazing thing because it can have such an immediate impact on a persons life, and often costs nothing other than the time spent to get the food that would’ve otherwise been tossed to them. Plus it’s better for the environment. Just a lot of wins all around. This is amazing to see!

This reminds me of the time that in my 6th grade year, my school, a small catholic school, was donated thousands of dollars worth of food to give to students. Every Friday we god a bag full of snacks, frozen meals, drinks, breakfasts, and so much more. In my area the public schools are not good at all and the kids don’t learn anything, but at the private school kids are multiple grades ahead, so so many parents spend all of their money on their kids tuition to give them a good education and it caused a lot of parents to not be able to afford that much more. It was so nice of the people who donated it. This helps so many people, you can help someone’s whole life get better by just telling them something nice.
