Every time I see Maz from behind for just a moment I think Cole. He sure was a special guy. I remember thinking black cats were boring and all the same, then I got into rescue and foster failure, 9 black cats later, 3 of them brothers, not one the same or boring, all with different and special personalities. Many are missed and waiting at the bridge❤️🙏🌷

Cats are cats. And just like every other creature on the planet, each has its own personality and temperament. The out covering has no bearing on that and is just adorning for warmth, cooling, protection, and good looks.

Cat TV is the best! It's mostly just birds and squirrels here, but turtles show up every June when the neighbor's mulberry tree has berries. A fox entered our yard once. That was hilarious to see the cats' reactions. Theo stood at the sliding glass door with Ninja posted several feet behind him. Ninja is no dummy. He was going to let his brother get eaten if that fox somehow got in. 😂 Ninja loves it when we get a skink. He gets so riled up! Theo witnessed a black rat snake right outside the glass door. We learned he doesn't like snakes that day. He spent the next 24 hours spooked by random things and hissing up a storm.

Heh... I remember many years ago, looking out the window at a family of pheasants (no, not peasants) pecking around in our garden. Suddenly, cat! The neighbour's cat had apparently seen this group of birds, and decided to make them his lunch. It wasn't until he had rushed in right in their midst that he seemed to realise that they were all bigger than him. He basically flattened himself against the ground and froze in terror. Fortunately for him, pheasants are quite cowardly birds. As soon as they noticed the -terrifying- terrified predator, they all HONKed loudly and fled. The cat fled too, as soon as he wasn't surrounded by giant monster birds anymore.

Squirrels, raccoons, cardinals, blue jays, finches, sparrows, black birds, orioles, grackles, possums---you name it !!!
