We're in the heart of Scotland, where we get lost (again) and fail to storm the gates of a castle

This week we're in the heart of Scotland, the wee county of Clackmannanshire. The day started with a visit to Castle Campbell, where we found out the hard way that rules are rules.. apparently.
We explore the Devil's Mill (fortunately the devil was out) before a random pin on Google Maps took us to an a-maze-ing maze.
Oh, and we visit some big metal horses heads.

All our videos are hand made from 100% organic ingredients ;). Our content is mostly filmed on a GoPro 11 with a Rode fluffy microphone to keep the wind noise down, with occasional bits on an iPhone13. We also use a DJI Mini 3 drone which we're loving getting to grips with.
We make our own music using GarageBand and the videos are edited in iMovie.

The "lower" bridge, without parapets, was built in 1713[1] by William Gray, a mason from Saline. It is 22 feet (6.7 metres) long, 11 ft (3.4 m) wide, and 86 ft (26 m) above the average water level. The second bridge or Upper Arch (120 feet or 37 metres above the river) was constructed 34 feet (10 metres) above it in 1816[1] and gave it an easier gradient[2] by removing the steep slope down to the old bridge. Thank you Wikipedia It's supposed to create a low tone rumble.

Stunning place to build a castle, boo to them not letting DeNiro up the tower tho! You'll definitely have to go back for a graveyard crawl! So many interesting ones, especially the ones in the field! Love to know the history of that place.

Great episode. Being a Clackmannanshire lass, it's great to see places I know, even if it makes me hamesick. Next time you're in the area, visit Alva Glen. Beautiful place. Alva cemetery has some fascinating stones. Shame Di Niro couldn't get in.

We've tried Alva Glen but the car park was full. We'll head back when the wether is a bit less nice. It's Scotland, shouldn't be long.

7 pound 50 for a castle, that certainly violates the "shoestring" rule. Good call to avoid the tour. The gorge was gorgeous and forest, awesome. Congratulations on the 1/2 marathon. Huge accomplishment! Missed the charity shop segment.

I think that, as much as I loved Skye and am definitely headed back to explore the Outer Hebrides, my couple of hours with the Kelpies at the end of my visit to Scotland have stuck with me the most. They are magnificent.
