Thought I would check back in. Just blown away by the quality of your work. The audio, while you are motoring, with the flag fully extended in the background is amazingly clear. Whatever you are doing, it works great. Have you done a "how-to" video about the way you guys record and edit the shows? Probably shouldn't. Trade secrets. And the kids. They are going to write books about you guys and their adventures as a small child, and they will have the masters to prove it. I'm doing some interesting stuff, but no sailboats are involved. My friend, Bill Pinkney passed last year. 1st African American to circumnavigate the globe, alone. Looking forward to your future adventures.

You guys are going to LOVE Turkey!!! We made 2 explorations there with a motorcycle and later rented an apartment and spent the winter in Kas about 5 years ago. Nice marina there but if you can get permission to dock in the downtown (mostly commercial) harbor: even better!! If you can leave your boat for a week or longer, Cappadocia is an absolutely amazing place to explore. Turkish hospitality is pretty amazing too. SUPER nice people!!! I should also mention that Istanbul is definitely worth a visit. Enjoy!!!

@@stopthephilosophicalzombie9017 On the motorcycle in late 2012 (the western coast, took about a month doing that) and then in 2014. Then we rented an apartment in Kas (for three months) in the winter of 2018/2019. Highly recommend Turkey!

I love your channel and it's rapidly become one of my favourites. The photography/videography with stunning drone footage, the commentary, the storytelling, and very balanced and respectful views of the cultures you discover put the quality of your production way above all the other sailing channels'. Did you come to West Scotland, UK ? The Med can be unforgiving - either not enough wind, or too much. You may find the cooler air to the north more inviting and dependable, and we have a thousand places to see and plenty of shelter. And the wind blows around this Blessed Plot. And it is not crowded.

We would second that recommendation. We spent this past summer sailing in Ireland and Scotland, specifically Jura Sound and the Firth of Clyde. Brilliant place!

Night Vision Monocular - Have you considered having one? They are very affordable now, a good Bushnell is less than $300us. Great for when you pull into an anchorage at night... A Thermal Monocular would be great in fog and other times, also in the $300us price range. Both would be nice to have when looking out for pirates. 🎉
@alanw967711 ай бұрын
Night and thermal vision is a GREAT help ALL the time! Safety,safety,safety! A couple of flare guns and spear guns could be defensive weapons also. Be VERY careful about advertising you’re Americans! Too many radical people in those Middle East countries! Hate to say it, and I’m always the patriot, 🇺🇸, but maybe y’all should swap your USA flag for a Turkish one. Never know what someone might do while you’re away from your boat...or worse! Stay safe and healthy ⛵️🇺🇸

Watching your family videos is the highlight of my week. Thank you for sharing. I was looking at Isa on this video with her big smile and so tiny, I just thought, ' Honey, you are such a blessed little girl" with parents, lifestyle, pet, and love wherever she goes. What a wonderful life. With the evil we face in the States that is coming across our Southern border, and the inflation that is off the charts, life here sucks the joy right out of everyday events. Still, even if you guys have to come up with the unknown like grocery stores and other things you need, you still live a "free" lifestyle without the government taking your rights away from you.

Welcome back! You were missed. I am with you when it comes to Europe and their small local stores. Give me a small locally owned store over the big box stores so rampant in the US. The food quality is so much better because they don’t genetically modify the seeds used for fruits and vegetables, not to mention the strict rules for cattle. Don’t worry Turkey has a really good bakery scene. The food is fantastic as well, although I am sure you guys have found that out by now. I lived there for two years- the southern part in a town called Mersin. Loved it and miss it. I need to get back there.

I realy admire in your movies that you don't complain a single word of being tired of any of every day chores. Like seeing when you shoping, carring the kid, the dog and god knows what more and you don't say a word of being tired makes you my heros. In any other channels of sailing the people are tired of by a lot less significant duties. I have twins so I know what it means to take care of them on land and it blows my mind how hard it could be doing the same on a boat during passage! You are great!
