We did the Nullabor in our apollo motorhome last trip. Wild camped twice, second on our own which was abit scary. Did about 50 km back on the road without seeing another vehicle came over a hill and got stopped by the police and breathalised! Passed ok and copper wished me happy birthday for the next week. Keep watching your vids, remembering our 2 trips 12000 miles altogether and hope we can do at least one more. Love to see the kids growing up. Good luck from jim n Lin in the UK.

awesome episode as usual, Nullarbor is notoriously windy, fairly sure you can take the fruit if it is cooked, like a pie or sweet wrap. Making the Guacamole while Sian is on the loo #vanlife Fuel numbers are great, fun fact the prices have not changed much since 2008🤯🤯
@BigOzExplorers2 жыл бұрын
Yes we could have cooked the fruit! That’s a great idea that we can include on our next journey over the Nullabour if we forget again 😝😂 I wouldn’t be surprised if the fuel has been pricey for a long time. It’s bloody remote out there!! Must cost a fortune in upkeep, wages etc etc

No they weren’t as bad on the road, only patches here and there. A good car wash had them all off! 🦗 The car tyres are 295/70/18 and the caravan is 165/70/16 (I think without looking right now). The car runs on 45psi all round and the van 35psi ☺️

Hey Robert, he likes to use 98 octane usually but due to prices he chose to use 91 that trip. We always use 91. It was a good time to compare as we don’t always have the same fuel usually. :)

Wow, @ 25:00 that is when you need your A.C.M.E. Personal Flame Projection Device for real. Great video of your trip & my thoughts automatically go out to the devastation & anguish suffered by the poor bloody drivers as well as there co drivers. They normally drive two-up & are good mates or couples (Hubby & Missus) for it to happen out there, there is not a dam thing you can do about it. Anyway no one lost there lives & thats the important thing hey? the fruit thing catches heaps of people daily but is an evil necessity to protect the SA fruit farmers, but another weird one is entering WA you have to ditch all your Honey, Even if the jar, bottle or squirt'y thingamajig hasn't even been bloody opened. Hi Chris just check your stats for total kilometres travelled its definitely not 2224km from Esperance to Ceduna, we clicked over about 1400km. So that's going to blow out your fuel ⛽️ economy to about 40L/100km (is that right?) From a statistics nerd 🤓
@BigOzExplorers2 жыл бұрын
We had other trips in between inc point Sinclair, other caves etc plus we technically started from 11 mile beach. We went right though until next fill at a servo in Ceduna so it included a trip to the car wash with the van, for water filling etc too. Technically the Nullabour was 1400km of it but the whole trip and all shenanigans for us was 2224 😊
