Hi tan, my recommendation is try not to do too much at once. Once you've got the main structural/electrical work done, then take it one room at a time, starting with the easier rooms (e.g. spare bedrooms first). Then you can learn what you're doing and what you like and don't like on the less important rooms first. And by doing one room at a time, when you're not working on that room you can close the door and you have the rest of the house to relax in. Xx

It’s exciting times renovating! I’ve renovated every house I’ve ever owned. I’m currently renovating a 14th century chateau in France. It had never had running water and only had half a front door, you could walk straight in. I’d say try your hardest to not make snap decisions because you’re desperate to get it finished. Find the perfect pieces for your new home. It’s funny how things you get that “will make do for now” end up staying

I took lots of photos when I finished high school in 1999-2005, I paid someone to digitise them all (there were over 1000 photos!) and put them on a hard drive. I organised them before handing them over. Best thing. Totally worth it.

I saw that you stayed at the shepherds hut in Bude so I decided to book the same one for my partner and I. We had the best time and made loads of memories! He passed away from suicide in April 2023 but I will forever have those memories from Bude 😊
