(Havent finished the video yet) When I was in film school, we could watch a clip of a movie easily 10 times without peeking everything that was meant there. Analysing a movie/show really takes a lot of time, and I think it's not necessarily about being smart but just a bit of practice. After 4 years of analysing a lot of movies and shows, it's pretty easy to catch a lot of stuff that people won't catch on my first watch. I don't think understanding every layer of a movie/show is important to appreciate it. Don't worry, mate, it doesn't make you less smart. It's really just practice and analysis The reason Media Literacy can be considered dead is because most people don't watch movies and shows. Most people consume it like fast food. Binge watch one then go to another one. This on repeat. Not enough time to appreciate and think about what you just watched but consuming content after another. I feel like it could be a catalyst to that For Superman tho. He is not boring, yet he is fuxking powerful but that's not that. Superman & Lois is a great show and, IMO, the best live action Superman do watch it and maybe, MAYBE, it will change your views on that character. This show understands him very well and you get to see Clark not as a young Superman but as a father and it's really refreshing to see.

@@KOBAYE_24 you’re so right about the fast food analogy. Short form just goes viral way more, short content is just way more accessible. But the way clips can be taken out of context is nuts. But yea i feel like in this day and age, where we’re starting to enter the “late game” with the internet. I think its so important to understand the media you’re taking in and who its coming from. I’ve heard a lot of superman fans praising superman and lois, cuz apparently man of steel gets it kind of wrong so Im definitely gonna get on that. Preciate you dropping the comment fam
