i really don't think the truckers are gonna make the history books. However, hundreds of years from now people WILL still be learning about the hundreds of millions who died from this horrible pandemic. And i keep seeing this word "tyranny" thrown around in this comment section. I'm not sure a lot of these commentors know what tyranny means. This whole demonstration was about a few truckers' opposition to getting a covid vaccination before crossing the border. I'm not sure if ppl realize that you can't even visit many countries without having proof of certain vaccines/innoculations. Nor enroll in public schools for that matter. I'm an american, & we've got our share of antivaxxers here too. But that doesn't mean i want ppl coming over the border who are potentially spreading corona virus. Something happened as the Freedom Convoy formed and started moving across the Continent. People came out in support. First dozens, then thousands, then tens of thousands. And seeing that changes you. Every trucker in Ottawa and in those blockades at the bridges and border crossings carries with them the hopes of tens of thousands of average Canadian workers who have had enough of the tyranny, but who just don't have the same voice or position of power to cause the dictators in Ottawa and Ontario and elsewhere to stand up and take notice. They can't back down now. They are protecting the hopes and aspirations of millions. I’m an RN and work with doctors (Othro, Gyne, Optho and Medical internists) everyday some are exceptionally smart and could do any job handed to them and some I guarantee could not get a semi across Canada on their own without getting lost everyday.
