I’m from KY and so glad you enjoyed your visit here! The Smokies is our favorite vacation spot! The next time you visit, make sure you get that parking pass!!!!!!!! If you will be parked at least 15 minutes at any place in the national park you will need a tag. If not, you are risking getting towed. You will be stranded in the park. No joke. They are very strict. Also, just bc a tag is purchased, you are not guaranteed a parking spot anywhere. Pulling off on the side of the road is no longer allowed. You must be parked in a designated parking spot. Everything Autos is a local KZbin channel down there….towing company and they have videos of cars being towed all the time. Check them out! I am so glad that didn’t happen to y’all!!!

Brian, you are correct. You need to make your way West. So many beautiful states. Arizona with the red rocks, Grand Canyon, and other canyons, also snow in Flagstaff. Idaho, Utah, Montana and Wyoming are beautiful too. Oregon, has a desert, forest and really nice dunes and beaches. My state of Washington (you would both love it). Has so much water, lakes, beaches, etc. The mountains, espeically the big ones are cool. We also have a desert, and beautiful forests, even a rainfrost. You can rent a boat and go around to some of the islands or go on a tour. We have the ferrry boats that are fun to drive or walk on. There are wineries here and in Oregon. You need to staty at least a month or more. Come in the spring, it's the best time!!! I really enjoy watching you guys. So happy that you get to go on your journeys at a young age. Keep living your best life!!!

Every-time we camp it rains!! We are known as the rain wispers! We camped in flagstaff Arizona a couple years ago we joked about us being rain wispers at check it. They were at a level four burn ban could do any kind of fires no bbqs on our gas bbq nothing. 4th of July it not only rained it poured so had you couldn’t see to drive. Next day level 2 could bbq & hike in the parks, the parks were also closed so no one could make a fire & start a forest fire!

When y’all come back to Lexington Ky. Be sure and save a day for a trip to La Grange Ky. Hallmark has filmed there, HGTV did an episode there, it’s one of the few not places in the US to see a train come right down Main Street on the actual street, the track is built into the pavement. And tons of history in the little town. And we just happened to be in HGTV episode of Hometown Takeover. I’ll even show you around if you want! You’ll love the small town charm.

Hoping to go to the Ark soon, but I cant walk long distance so trying to figure that out. The spot you stopped in the Smokies by the river is our swimming hole! Great spot for little kids to swim. Yes if you stop longer than 15 minutes you need the parking pass, and yes they are towing people for being along the road parking and no parking pass . So Be aware! Plenty of youtube videos showing them being towed. Been visiting for 30+ years in the Smokies and the feeling you get there is amazing!! Refreshes your soul! Thanks for sharing!

I live in East Tennessee 30 minutes from the smoky mountains and we also had a tornado warning while we were in a camper in the Cherokee national forest in Tellico Plains Tennessee at Indian boundary campground. We always go to the nearest bathhouse if the camper starts shaking I’m on my way to the bathhouse pronto. I’m glad you got to enjoy the rest of your visit after the storm.❤

My daddy was born in Casey County, KY in Science Hill on a farm in a little cabin. He was apparently allergic to breast milk and cow's milk as he could not keep either down. Believe it or not his Aunt Lizzie came up with a tomato juice concoction and he loved it. That is how my AMAZING daddy made it! My gram and gramps ended up buying the farm that they lived on the edge of when I was a tiny girl. I remember lots of folks standing all over the front yard of this big farmhouse and an auction going on. I was standing between my dad and gramps. I must have been 4 or 5 at the time and my grandpa won the farm in the auction!!! 180 acres of pure beauty. Apples, an acre of blackberries, plum trees, pastures for cows, a spring with big ol' crawdads! Barns and hay and ponds! And I had my own horse and I named her "Bright Eye"s. Kentucky and Tennessee are probably my favorite states. Oh how i miss our times on the farm. I love watching your videos and I know TMI! SORRY. :) You two are so cute!

After staying in the camper in a 65 mph straightline wind with rain and ping pong ball sized hail (that totaled our camper)...never again! Get to safety. That's wisdom. So glad you took the time to see the Ark Encounter. We flew our 84 year old mom up (from Florida) and took her. It was amazing. We had a couple of really bad storms while in the Keys last year. One was so bad, my husband was about to hook the camper back up to the truck because he said it was rocking. The boats at the dock were all over the place and the owners were scrambling to get them anchored better our out of the water. I slept through the worst one!

Love watching your adventures!! But remember to always get a parking pass and NEVER park on the side of the road in the grass or in “do not park areas”. Rangers have tow service for illegal parks on speed dial. And it’s very expensive to get your vehicle back AND you have to get an Uber or ride to the impound yard. We love the Smoky Mountains and can’t wait to get back soon.
