i thought it suct. Cioppino is stupid easy to make, and he didn't add saffron, the single ingredient that turns meh cioppino into legendary cioppino. He's also wrong about the garlic and the shrimp was overcooked.

Nice...consider putting shrimp shells in cheese cloth sack into broth.....a lot of flavor in shells.

I would also add 3-4 anchovies when sautéing the veg. I love the clam juice used et al, but with that much tomato, anything upping the seafood flavor is nice.

I've sampled it once when I was at Gladstones in Malibu. That was the first and only time and it was so good. It made me think I should have ordered that instead of what I ordered. I would imagine it's a bit on the pricey side since it's seafood. Kind of like Paella. When I come into some cash and I have an occasion, I'll have to make this. Living close to the water, I'll have to look into who has good seafood prices. The local grocery stores may buy their fresh stock locally. I'll have to check.

It never gets old for us...That ciopinno looked great (Except the mussels not a fan :( ) Get out of the backyard more often, and cook at more local San Diego county spots and show all the Cali haters why we live here... but don't tell the chamber of commerce..

These EGGS! You gotta try these! As much as you love eggs, you really gotta try these deviled eggs. Even if you don't make a video of it, I'd love to hear your feed back on them. Peanut Butter & Horseradish Deviled Eggs... 1 Part Cooked Egg Yolks 1/4 Part Peanut Butter 1/4 Part Horseradish Sauce (I know you like straight horseradish - not sure how much of that to use if you sub) 1/2 Part Mayo Kosher Dill Pickle (small slices about the length of the egg and only about 1/4 - 1/3 inch wide) Smoked Paprika Sriracha Hot Sauce (or, in your case, you'll prolly use Cholula but the thicker Sriracha will present better for Max's photos) Slice hard boiled eggs lengthwise and remove yolks. Mash yolks with fork until fine. Mix in Peanut Butter and Horseradish Sauce. After PB and Horseradish are mixed… Then GENTLY mix in Mayo. - Do not over mix or it will separate!!!!!!!!!! Put mixture in eggs - I use a spoon for a rustic look. Yes Max, I push it off the spoon with my fingers... Sprinkle with Smoked Paprika. Add small slice of Kosher Dill Pickle on top of each. Zigzag Sriracha Hot Sauce on top.

Regional dish recipe (Halifax, NS) Donair - A Canadian east-coast specialty Donair Meat: 2 pounds medium ground beef 3 cloves minced garlic ½ cup all-purpose flour 4 tsp sweet paprika 3 tsp dried oregano 2 tsp salt 2 tsp onion powder 1 tsp pepper ¾ tsp cayenne pepper Sweet garlic sauce: 1 can sweetened condensed milk 3/4 tsp garlic powder 1/4 cup white vinegar Additional ingredients: Pita bread (warmed) Finely diced white onion Diced tomato For the meat, mix all spices together and, using your hands, blend with the ground beef and minced garlic. Form into a loaf pan (like you would meatloaf) and cook at 300 degrees for about 2 hours. Cool. Slice thin and heat on the flat-top when ready to eat. To make the sweet garlic sauce, mix all ingredients until thickened. Easiest way is to add everything into a jar, close the lid, and shake until it forms a thick sauce. Wrap the hot, sliced beef in the warm pita. Top with the finely diced white onion, diced tomato and the sweet garlic sauce.

Lovely video, and the cioppino looks great! I have one small question - you generously provided all the information about the ingredients, the cooking pot, and the Clamato for the sauce, etc. But, what size and model of boat should we buy so we can have an appropriate cooking area? A 65’ Hatteras, or would something smaller be adequate? :)
