Well said Ange. I think he’s inspirational and when it comes good we will all be the better for it. We will have a squad of players who will be the core of something exciting for years. He’s building foundations from a wreck. Patience

GIVE ANGE TIME! Arsenal allowed Arteta to finish 8th, 8th, and 5th before he finally cracked top 4. That’s the nature of rebuilds - they take time. Ange inherited a team that finished 8th, lost Harry Kane, and managed to finish 5th. He’s doing at least as well as Arteta did during his first couple years and doing so with less money, younger players, and right now dealing with by far the league’s worst injury crisis. You need to give him time. Because no matter who the manager is you’re going to have to go through this period. Sure. You can sack Ange, hire maybe get someone like Graham Potter, he’ll get a brief honeymoon period, and then inevitably adversity will strike yet again. All you’d be doing is temporarily stopping unavoidable pain today to have an even worse version of it tomorrow. That’s why Ange is always talking about “what we’re building here” and even noted why the current period they’re going through is “an advantage in terms of what we’re trying to build”. What Ange understands that you don’t is that failure is a prerequisite to success. Given where Tottenham has been and where Ange wants to take it going through this is completely unavoidable. There is no way around it. Sure, Arsenal’s playing great now but they had some pretty low moments too. Remember in Arteta’s third year they lost at Tottenham 3-0 or 3-1 to miss out on top 4 again? They came back the next year with even more players and having grown from that experience to go into that same stadium the next year, beat us, and finish 2nd. Had they got ridden of Arteta then as impulsive fans like you would’ve called for they would’ve had to start their rebuild all over again just as they were on the brink of breaking through with a title run. Sure, they’re not playing great right now but it’s early in the process and with injuries and suspensions you’ve taken close to £150M out of the playing squad between Van de Ven, Romero, Richarlison, Bentancur, Wilson, Vicario, Davies, and now even Bissouma. Ange is playing a teenage midfielder at CB for fuck sake. What do you expect? Ange right now has Spurs in a position that when everyone’s healthy they can get the best of any one in the world. He’s not even had two full seasons yet. The squad is only going to improve through transfers and all these young guys developing. Think about where Bergvall and VDV and Johnson and Gray and Wilson will be by year four when Arteta had Arsenal on that title run. With this style, that speed and skill they’re going to be incredible. You just have to stick with it. Get used to the idea that results may be a little rocky until everyone is back healthy but the trajectory is amazing. GIVE HIM TIME!

He has a track record. You’ll find that each of his past management roles have had their bumps and once navigated, success follows. It’s not like he’s selling snake oil. He’s done it before. Some may say “it was at a lower level” but as always, it’s all relative as he has access to better players to counter better opposition. The fickleness and impatience of some of the supporter base borders on toxic. Continual change hasn’t led to success so why not try a longer term approach.

Players at this level are far too highly paid. They think they are rock stars and if found out will just move to another band. Very very few have identity with the club they are in. They all believe the hype written in the papers and are just prostituting themselves to any given club. There are a few that have their heart in their club but for the most it is just a gig. When you have people on hundreds of thousands of quid a week and a three year contract where is their hunger to go into battle every game. ?
