One of the absolute best things any parent can do is to help their children become independent. My dad was so key in helping me be a self sufficient woman. Before I could drive I knew how to fix a flat tire and use tools. I am so grateful for those skill sets. Teach them while they are young.

hey judy - it’s your Canadian pediatric occupational therapist back at it again w/ some tips 🤗 yay for independence!! to help w/ the showering situation, if you have the singular tap that you turn to a certain point (not separate hot and cold taps) a strategy to help the girls to make sure it’s a “just right temp” is to put a little dot or water-proof sticker at that sweet spot.

Oh no! You should of gotten the terracotta planter because when the water drains, the terracotta will soak up the water and it's porous. The plastic does not drain well and it will cause your plant to have root rot.

I showed mom clips of Keira teaching us to brush our teeth and floss and she totally melted, and Keira's little gurgle was the cutest thing she ever heard, so we had to rewind the video and see it again and we prepared ourselves for the cuteness and went "okay, okay, now it comes" 😂🥰🙌🏻😄 And of course Miyako is just as cute when she teaches.

As we get older our bodies demand more rest sometimes we ignore and complete chore after chore. It is good to rest, I use to feel guilty for taking a nap on a weekend because of certain family comments and I would just go chore after chore. Now, I cannot. Sleeping and napping is extremely important for me. So, yes Judy, I do understand now you needing your days off.

Hells yeah! No lie at least 3/4 weekends in a month I don't leave the house for an entire day. And you know what I GET SO MUCH REST!! it's so important to recharge and running errands all around town and hanging out all hours of the night doesn't do it for me anymore. Idk how I did it when I was younger lol.
